Well, aside from the obvious staff changes, no more staff with attitude so therefore much less issues with customers. The ones in place now have a more genuine interest in the success of LB instead of their more narrow interests.

The music selection is no longer a repetition of the same old, tired tracks. I have heard that the volume is a bit high now but that is a minor issue. When we re-opened we had to replace the complete sound system so things had to be rethought out more.

I think the steady recruitment of new staff will be the most challanging, as I see it, mainly because Nok is reluctant to seem to be poaching staff from other bars. But the signs are there that the feelers she keeps putting out are fruitful.


The seating arrangements will be redone sometime next month.

Cigarette smoking regulations are the same in all Pattaya venues, Labamba is no different.

Sam, the volume was at a quite comfortable level and concentrated at the door making conversation quite easy at the bar. I've been by twice in the last five days for a few beers.

I would suggest to finally removing no-picture or you pay ---- BHT sign. Not like we will take picture of all guys who enter inside and send it to respected wives it is just that from all my LB places La Bamba is the only one who still has this sign. It would be nice to finally have some inside picture from La Bamba too.

Most bars still have the sign. La Bamba, Stringfellow, HiBoss and I believe EZY.

There are 2 reasons:
*Deter (not stop) casual photos. Most guys respect not to take pics, of other mongers, but in some bars it is difficult - mirrors etc
*Many LBs do not like their picture taken so the sign indicates that you ask first.

So the sign is there for everyone's benefit.

By the way try taking some photos in Pook bar without asking first - the staff can get fairly hostile!
