Hi All,
Its good to get into the scene again after such a long absence. I loved catching up on the Guess bar thread and see all the talent currently working there. Guess bar was my first ever LB bar i went to and couldnt have been better.
My first lb was Mint, not longmint, but another mint who i think used to work there. great experience.
I am very glad to see Jane in some pictures as i have not heard from her in a LONG time. I was constantly in contact with her but must have been more than 6 months now no news from her. Glad to see her and see she seems alright.
I shall be making a visit to LOS soon and for sure GB will be a place i will visit without at doubt.
Until then, i hope things keep well and i enjoy all you fuckers that get to go there before me....

Probably because a decision was taken by Jay a couple of years ago to not allow photography in Guess Bar except by a two or three regulars who are well known to her. Clearly these two or three regualrs became fed up with taking photographs :? Or something like that.

That seems a little short-sighted given that – I suspect – a proportion of customers will have looked at this site to determine where to go. I also imagine that many stop off in Bangkok for a night on their way to or from Pattaya and do not necessarily have enough time to shop around. I’m going to be there for a single night and want to have a good idea about where to go before I arrive. On the basis of past experience, I will probably try Guess first but would be far more likely to do so if I knew what to expect. Likewise, in Pattaya, I am determined to visit some establishments on the basis of what I have seen and read here.
Rossco’s theory is that most Thai owners do not yet appreciate the impact of the Internet which is why the bars that tend to promote themselves most rigorously on these sites – and presumably see a resultant increase in custom – are those run by non-locals. Perhaps I am a sad exception but I was once motivated to fly to Phuket solely on the basis of Jimbo’s photos - and I was not disappointed!

The main reason why photos are not allowed except by some well known regulars is because photos have been posted with the faces of customers easily identifiable in them.
Now that may not bother some people, but it is a major concern for others. The well known regulars will "blur" or blank out any faces, or ensure that only the ladies are clearly visible.
No photos in bars is actually standard policy in all the NEP lb bars, with signs posted up, Patpong bars like King's Corner and King's Castle III also have the same policy.

Being in Bangkok in May, it was hard to find a Guess bar.
after a several circles around Nana area, i decided it is a difficult fate to find such a secret place with some even strict policy, invinted by owner of the bar, and finally i made my way to NEP.
by the way, when i was in Obsession bar, there was some guy who made a lot of photos of LBs working inside the bar. LBs was not objecting him made photos, but also were willing to sit right near him and made photos.
