thanks for the encouraging words dc, onetruesaxon and kk! Sometimes I wonder if it is worth the hassle to lug around a dSLR, but when I look back at the photos like these, there is really no comparison to the small point and shoots.

Spot on mate, the content is obviously wonderful, but the quality of images is clear to see

I am very keen to buy a dSLR and you are adding strength to my decision.

If I were you I would drop a neat watermark or tag on all of your posted images, maybe just RxP in the corner

DC, I haven't felt a need to watermark my photos, but I've seen a few of them posted without permission on a couple of other sites, so I think I will follow your advice.

By the way if you decide on a dSLR, there is a good discussion in technical forum of TLF about choosing a dSLR.
