Set the record straight. Pond told 131 she was not going to work the bar anymore - probably because she had settled down with Samplerdoc.
When she showed up the staff thought that she was just there to get a customer - when everything was explained there was no problem. Obviously the girls (LB's) get jealous of each other and LB's who work a bar do not like if an interloper shows up and takes a potential customer - normal human behaviour
Pond told me she is going back to her village near Khon Kaen to see family etc. I have not seen her in over a week so assume she has gone back to her village.
Up country there is not so much access to the internet - I am not saying NO access but limited compared to Pattaya/BKK etc. If you send her an email do not expect a quick response.

The police hold her ID card and she has a "writ" against her (a formal paper) which means she can be put in Jail at any time until the debt is paid - a bit like the Merchant of Venice.
The police told her and the victim to be at the police station at 18.00 today.
Pond has been waiting since before 18.00 but the victim has not arrived. The police have told her she must wait until he arrives and they will not take the money from her on her behalf. She MUST wait.
A sad situation and hardly helps the reputation of Farangs.
-Just heard from Pond. The coward did not show up at the police station so they charged Pond 3000 baht. To clear her criminal record requires further payment - not clear on this one but TIT.
I hope to see her later and check out all that happened but I hope SamplerDoc is feeling some guilt over all of this.
He certainly is not coming out of this without some damage to his reputation but he does seem to enjoy getting a reputation!! This is not a town nor country where you can upset people and think it is forgotten. It is not the West but the wild west!

Guys - I just want to say that I have never been with Pond but find her one of the most animated LB's that I have ever met. She is funny and good company.
So the perpetrator has decided to hide and leave her with a bill - shame on him. I am really annoyed that someone can do this to a person who has given so much. Up to him. If he had showed up she would have paid 1800 Baht (for what I ask) - as he did not show (having started the situation) she paid 3000 baht.
She now as a police record. Thanks ass hole - the only LB that will go with you either has AIDS or is so high she will not care - good move!
In Thailand the average salary is 5,000 baht per month. To save you getting calculaters out = 1000 Euros, 1700 USD, 700 UKP. Many families up country live on 3000 baht per month. Sad but true.
So her fine in local terms is like a months salary.......
So Pond is happy about all the support but really does not understand the internet. Tonight she nearly cried about all the support you have given - she is so grateful to all of you.
Thanks guys - you are a great fraternity to be a member of - sadly not all members are like most of you good guys.

Pond now has a police record which is more difficult to resolve - it is now a blight on her record. She is now branded as a trouble maker. It is hard enough surviving as a working LB with the normal prejudice exercised by the BIB but now if they "raid", round up or pick her up then she has a sheet with BIB.
A shame that the "victim" did not consider all of this prior to involving the authorities. Short sighted maybe but I cannot understand why?
I have personally lost money to a LB (theft) but in the context of relevant wealth I could afford to write off the loss and just reprimand the offender personally - she is not welcome in many LB venues now but no police involvement and no record.
Maybe next time I get an inferior meal or service I should engage the police to exercise my revenge. But, maybe not and just accept it as a lesson in life!
