Do you choose the first one you see??

I am going to BKK in less than 22 days and I am very super excited. I remember my first two LB barfines, Temptations and Cascades. I remember in Temptations, I was approached by one LB (i remember her name sounds like Pae or Pair) as soon as I entered. We both talked while other LBs as if keeping turns to "seduce" me and see if Id choose them or ask them to join me and Pair. It was my first time I just smiled and made a "point my eye then point stage" signal suggesting I am still looking around.
I even told Pair to tell her friends that I am still looking. I didnt remeber wether i bought Pair a drink or not. It was such a blur, too many LBs trying to get my attention and I tried hard to understand What pair was saying to me in that time.. Loud music didnt really help as well.
Then one LB ignored what I told her (that i am still looking) and joined me and Pair. She got nice boons and stuff, i think her name sounds like Tang or Tan or Tain. And more and more LB joined me and try to talk and joke and tickle e and stuff. Tain, perhaps want to "win me"' She grabs my cock and whispered me what she can do to me bla bla.. I was such a noob and BF her. Pairand other LBs jokingly said something like "heyyy why not meee?" Pae told me she understood and told me to have fun. awesome. That first time experience in LB gogo bar made me want to go again
Then i went to cascade and man oh man.. It was such a different scene. The girls were soooo much hotter, Tee Tee was there too. But the LBs were as persistent as Temptation i feel but they were a bit pushy with the drinks whilst LBs in tempation werent really pushy with drinks. Infact i only bought a drink for Tain and i think Pae.
The mamasan came to me and sit next to me perhaps after noticing me sitting down there and kept telling the LBs" no im still looking". I bought the mamasan a ladydrink and i told her that i want to enjoy the show first then ill choose. She said ok but asked me who i want and gace me reccomendations every 2 minutes.. Yikes.
After giving me like 3 reccomendations' she pulled one LB and made her sit next to me. I felt the mamasan was like annoyed or something, i didnt want no trouble plus it wa only my second time and i did not know the dos and donts of gogo bar. I BF the mamasan choice.. Bad choice too. I told her i will be top and in the ST rooms, she wants to top me... That really turned me off and i just aske her to BBBJ me until I cum.. And she refused to CIM. And on top of that.. She asked for 500 baht tip... I was such a noob, and gave her that tip.
My third experience in GoGobars made me what I am today "fearful" of GoGoBars. It was in patpong, not a LB bar. I came to the bar just want to see what the fuss is about. As I came in, up to 10 girls came to me and grab me here and there, i agreed to buy a ladydrink for the the one girl i wanted but the bar perhaps misunderstood on purpose, and bought ALL the 10 girls ladydrink.....fuck right! I was a noob and did not want to cause trouble so i just suck it up and accept that ive been "robbed" and paid the bill and leave...
Since then, whenever I am in BKK horny for LBs or Girls, I use places like Eden Club and soapies for Girls and Escorts for LB.. (Eye is awesome).. Because i am afraid of gogobars now.
But i know the fun i can have like in Temptations. I want to go there again.. I cant pay 6k for an LB where i can spend that much on two LBs.
any advice you can give e to overcome this fear and perhaps strategies to say no to lady drinks to girls and lbs that i dont want

They all need to know that so as to gauge how much chance they have of fleecing you. New guys on their first visit are money in the bank as far as the girls are concerned.
And they know our fundamental weakness, westerners are stricken with a bewildering spirit of compassion to those less fortunate. Bewildering to Thais that is, they don't need to worry about such things as Buddha takes care of all that.
The girls don't mind trying it on a newbie because they have seen them capitulate over & over again. Some of them are quite ruthless & the only thing they understand is when someone stands up to them. But when you do that, it isn't a good idea to raise your voice or do anything that may cause them to lose face in front of their peers. Because face is a constant life & death issue for Thais. And we are not talking about soft hearted girls here, they are ladyBOYS & some of them have raging testosterone coursing through their veins.
Deep, you need to toughen up, make your intentions perfectly clear, be prepared to walk away when they start to take advantage & don't hesitate to oil the wheels of social discourse with money. A 100 baht tip discreetly slipped into a girls hand when she has staked too much on a situation to back out without losing face can make the whole problem go away. But never let the others see you do it & make sure she knows it is a thank you for her time but not tonight darling.
One defence strategy you must use is the simple body language device of the two handed open fingered wave in front of your face signifying "no" while shaking your head. And do it early before they get too close & the face question comes into play. Once they know they risk rejection, this can keep them away. As for the mamasan, nothing will keep her away & her favours must be bought. While there is no cover charge in the go-go's, it is the mamasan's job to make sure no one is occupying a seat for free & no one isn't buying a drink or drinks. And don't be surprised if a tab gets put in your bin for her drink, it isn't worth the argument to refuse it.
The 10 drinks at Patpong shouldn't have been allowed to happen because if there is even the slightest doubt about what you are ordering, they will jump on you. It is best not to answer any of them when they are all hassling for a drink. If they hear the word "maybe" or "later", that's as good as a green light. You didn't say no, so ipso facto, yes must be the answer.
Some guys never get it & will always pay too much. Alcohol is another element to the mix & I have gone off-script when under the influence. It's been a long time since they caught me but I never said I always practiced what I preached.

A note of sadness for me as the original creator of this thread passed away a wee while ago.

Whenever you walk into a bar, go-go, club, etc, among the first things you'll be asked is "you come to Thailand before?" or "is this your first time in Thailand?".

If you arrive the following night don't ignore her though...get her a drink and maybe ask her to recommend a friend...if you receive any crap then walk...plenty more about and your holiday.

Will she be upset/lose face if i decided to BF different lady??...
who cares.?
dont be sucked in to their nonesense.
how about if you went in the next night to bar fine her again and she is with another guy, have you lost face.?
its bollox mate.
tell her when you pay her you will take another the next night.
any problems, just flick your hair at her and say "up to you".
and put her on the non repeat list.
if she is cool about it all, then she is a repeater.
up to them.
