Is Japan included in Asia? A politically loaded question!

Newhalf world is quite different to rest of Asia, and often inaccessible to foreigners with no command of Japanese.

Also big difference in costs between Thai/ Filipino LB and native Japanese newhalf.

Gogo bars - very few - mainly hostess bars/ cabaret clubs, often with the "No foreigners allowed unless accompanied by Japanese" sign on the door.

Cheapest:
- new half massage - US150 for an hour or so, but can extend, have an extra partner, bring another guy with you, get them to dress up, lots of options.
- delivery health - they come to your hotel room or apartment, if you can read the menu and understand what they are saying - US$200 an upwards for an hour or so

Clubs - generally expense account jobs - US$120-150/ two hours, just to sit and talk/ watch - no playing, bit of food, unlimited house booze. Take out fee - if they even consider it could be another US$300, then US$50 for a local love hotel, then taxi, tip.

TV/ CD Clubs - cheapest - free - some very feminine, some not. Few HPWs (Hairy Panty Wearers), lots of bondage gear, enema gurus. But language skills required. Foreigners not always welcome....

Cinema/ Park encounters - some famous cinemas and parks in Tokyo, Osaka, and Yokohama offer midnight tristes, mainly TV/ CD, but you can strike out lucky sometimes.

Internet bulletin boards - cheapest fun/ free - mainly TVs/ CDs, and a few LBs. Meet in car/ hotel/ park - language skills essential.

Some bulletin boards will give info on the latest toilets in department stores/ hotels/ stations where you can meet for quickies or just BJs.

Street walkers - Tokyo/ Yokohama/ Osaka/ other places, maybe US$80 for a ST, plus price of hotel, taxi, tip. Risky...

Best options, unless you speak good Japanese, are rich or find a local LTR - save your money and take a trip to LOS or RP.

Better value, better food, and at least you can understand what your partner is saying!!!

I concur with these averages. As already mentioned, Phuket prices generally are closer to Bangkok than Pattaya. I'd also add a category for Beer Bar girls with prices between those you find at Go Gos and freelancers.

Of course, these are averages, and perhaps a bit on the high side. I've paid as little as 500THB for poor short time experiences and many times that amount for some girls I just had to have, e.g. Areeya.

Just recently I was in Pattaya and forgot to ask the going rate before taking both an LB and a GG away from their bars on different nights.
Morning after I asked the LB "how much do I have to give you?" she asked "can you manage 1500" so I paid her that much each morning for two nights running.
Morning after asked the GG "how much do I have to give you?" , 1000 was the reply so I paid her that each day for three days and nights with only about a half hour apart a day so she could go to a parlour to get her hair done. I tried to buy her gifts but she only accepted a Tee shirt and food and drink.
I did'nt negotiate just gave them what they wanted and would have paid more if they asked for it.

i always paid 1000Bht for GG LT in Pattaya.
In Soi6 you can get for 500-800Bht ST (max 1hour) + Barfine 300 Bath on GG.
But you get good Service there.
In Jenny Star Bar the LBs have crazy prices. :?
Moo and Emma and other superstars only go ST and not under 1500.
Atleast they told me.
If you add the Barfine, you can nearly have some sex here in my own Country Germany with a transsexual.
So its not soo cheap.
It adds quite up!

This pricing issue is always emotional and subjective.

There is no posted tariff - it is up to you. Many guys pay 2000 up - up to them.

To start out understand that any worker in this industry will try to maximise her income.

Her price, to you, may well depend on your appearance, whether they think you are well off and whether they think you a good person.

Remember she is taking a risk with you - you may have some fetish/get violent when drunk. She is summing you up just as you are her.

So. A big fat balding sweating farang with bad breath and a "Bad Boys Goes to Pattaya" shirt staggers up to a GG/LB, drunk as a skunk - what will she quote?

Conversely Brad Pitt sober and decked out in the latest trendy gear. Probably if it is Brad Pitt she will pay him!

Nice guy - clean, sober presentable, smart casual. Sensible price.

Get the point - it is SUBJECTIVE - both on your part and on hers.

I live here in Pattaya and only do LT. Up to me.

I am more like Mr "Nice Guy" as (so I am told) I have good heart. I lend money to LB's, give money gifts and have even taken a group to Kareoke. Treat them as people and they may just do the same for you. Treat them like whores and that is just what you get.

I pay between 500 and 1000 for LT. They come to my house have a swim and can watch big TV and relax. Sometimes we may eat out. I take them home the next morning and make sure they are OK.

I could not afford a daily take of LB at more than 1000. I do not work here so need to budget.

I do not go for superstars nor those with attitude - I have never been diappointed. I have found the wilder (more entertaining) ones are the ones who cause problems. Check out the personality.

I think the secret is be sober and pleasant and presentable - make them want to be with you. That will influence the price more than anything.

I find Soi 6/6.1 lives up to its Thai nickname "Soi Dirty" or "Soi BJ".

JSB - I am a superstar - not for me

Linda's - again not for me but many guys have found good companions there.

Remember there are lots of LB's working, as a minority, in many other bars.

I think since I made an effort to dress as well as I do at home helps . I did'nt get pissed because I had no mates to talk crap with and get silly , and they both called me Paakwaan , so I guess sweet talk endears you to them.
I will remember to ask the price first next time but think I am so used to Hongkong where I've always paid HK$1000 for both LT and ST that I forget to ask in Thailand.

Keep in mind that the rates change for different girls, but the above are an accurate approximation.

You will note there is a difference in the rates I paid, and those that are standard. In the cases where I paid less or much less than the standard rate, it really was down to one thing: She wanted to go with me.

The approach is important. It’s best to approach as you would any other female, not showing too much interest, letting her work to get your attention, and rewarding her with yours. You need to communicate that you want a good time and she has to show you that she's capable of that. You also talk about random stuff, have fun with her, and generally treat her as you would any woman you want to sleep with. My fav GG started off with 600 bar fine and 4000 for LT. She's damm HOT, she knows it. I worked to show her that she will have a great time with me and she won't forget it etc etc (I didn’t actually use the words "won't forget" that would be foolish). I also took her after being in the GoGo for 2-3 times. I took her on the last time and I never talked about taking her before that. I knew I wanted to spend most of my nights with her so I wanted a great rate. On the night when I finally saw this is it, I asked how much. She came with me for 400 bar fine and 2,000 LT. Substantial difference.

Basically almost everything cept the bar fine is extremely fluid. They'll tend to go heavy on the drinks, and the bar fine, especially the bar fine since that's how the establishment rates them, how much they bring in. After that their own price is totally dependent on how you negotiate and on their own financial condition. Most times if they get fed well, have a pool, will do sightseeing, watch movies, listen to music, go clubbing, learn lots of stuff about places they've never been to before, and most importantly that they want to be with you because with you they'll feel comfortable and safe, they'll go for much cheaper.

I'm 35, look about 29. Dress well, clean shaved, well groomed. IMO this makes a difference as well. If they like your looks and see you as a high value male, their natural inclination towards you is automatically increased. Of course they may ask for more initially because they think if you can look after yourself and you look great, you might have money. In the end, though, they'd rather be with you than a lot of other guys and they do think about hygiene and creature comfort.

I should add, that the first GG I fucked in Phuket, came for 300THB Barfine and 1000THB LT. I let her go after we finished since it was my first night in Phuket and I wanted to have beer alone and sleep alone. The next time I saw her, was around 04:00AM couple of days late, in the street. She was walking alone, started up a conversation, I was'nt in the mood already spent the whole evening in bed with another. So I told her up front I'm not game but we can hang & I'd like that. We had a couple of closing drinks at a bar, which I paid for. I started to get hungry, and told her I want a couple of BigMacs. She bought us a cab and bought me 2 BigMacs ! Now that was a major surprise ! Anyway I did'nt bring her back or pay her anything that night, she never called, and I called her a day later for a lunch quickie, and paid her extra. She wasn't the newbie either, around 27, had 2 phones, no doubt one for family and special clients, and the other for everyone else.

Also note that ideally she is happy with the amount she is getting. If she's not feeling well paid, it's going to influence her performance and attitude. Make sure she feels ok with the money, respected & safe and she'll give you a great time.

Keep in mind that everything is relative, 4000 THB may be nothing to you but some families can live on that in parts of Thailand. Just because you can spend 10,000THB per night on a chick does not mean you should. It's a transaction, you should be fair and you should consider the market in which the transaction is taking place. What you can always do at the end of your holiday, if you are generous, is to take some of the money that you saved on your holiday and give it as a tip to your favorite girls. When you see the upper end of the rates I paid, this is because of extra tips I gave before I left.

Something I found intersting, I had this female t-shirt from the university of the city I'm living in. American style college t-shirt, pink with white and red letters. I bought this for a chick I was visiting in the Middle East, but somewhere I really did'nt feel she wanted or deserved it. In Phuket I gave this to my favorite GG, and wow she really liked it. So this is just an off hand thing, but if you've got a "keeper" i.e one you want to see often, might be an idea to give some small gift/s. BE CAREFUL not to make a big deal and make sure she knows it's value. Don't let her think that you're a sucker, like to throw your money etc, or you'll get treated as an ATM, or worse!

Have never met Bob. It is a good bar, is clean, well run and the girls are ok.
I don't see you having a go at Mardhi or kk for promoting bars that offer good service. Isn't this what this site is for, to inform newbies and Lb hunters of what is good and what is bad.
