Darling, the fact that these cities are amongst the most expensive in the world doesn't justify higher prices in LOS. Basic local purchasing power is adjusted to local price levels as well as inflation. This means where in Spore if one pays 150 Sing$ for something then that does not justify a asking price in Thailand of ~4000 Baht. I pay about 25% of that in LOS and make exceptions because I choose to (read: cool chick). Cost of living is simply different, prices are adjusted to that. Besides that there are other dynamics that influence the ultimate price a bar girl will charge in LOS.

Besides this, basic demand and supply will tell you that when supply is high and demand low, prices drop. Regardless where you are in the world. This tends to be particularly the situation when a recession is going on simply because people are more risk averse / insecure in terms of spending. Add on top of that the know 'low season' in Thailand and you have a double wammy. Expect customers to demand significant lower prices. Also, the supply of average LB is high, hence they will always render a lower price, the supply of superstar LB v.low, hence the higher price, which is accordingly justified (high demand, low supply).

Get it? Point being, you simply can't compare bar girls with escorts in Asia. Dynamics are completely different. Escort in Asia is really only useful for people who require the utmost discretion. Obviously other regions in the world have different market dynamics.
