Hey.
I am totally new to this forum so I apologize if I post in wrong thread or don’t follow the norm.
I am going to Thailand with my family this December. They are going ahead of me so they will be there in another part of Thailand when I land in BKK, meaning that I have one night alone in BKK. If you took the time to read the forum, you would find out there is nothing like what you described for lbs in Bangkok, or the rest of Thailand.

 

I don't know why you are afraid of going to an lb go go bar or a lb lounge bar, because that is about the same situation as you described when the taxi driver took you to this place with the ggs.

 

Asking a taxi driver to guide you is a suboptimal idea - you have no idea if he is setting you up, or where he is taking you. If you want "safe" that is one of the least safe things to do.

 

If you don't want to go the the bars the other options are to look for a freelancer - if you are staying in the Sukhumvit area between Terminal 21 and Soi 4 (Nana), you will find a lot of freelancers after 11 pm. Then there are the escort agencies.
