I spent 2 weeks in BKK recently and tried pretty much all the go-go bars, a few beer bars and a couple of web based escort sites .

The stand out LB that I met was Yo from the Mercury Bar. I picked her out from the other girls because she really seemed to be enjoying herself at the bar, smiling, laughing, flirting etc and was incredibly feminine, there was absolutely nothing to belie her original gender.....until she stripped off. There are pluses and minuses for both I guess.
The big plus for web based escorts is that the girls are available on-demand so if you are looking for a bit of afternoon delight before the go go bars open then a couple of WhatsApp messages will usually see you in bliss with your girl of choice.

The advantages of meeting in a bar though I think outweigh the escort services. You get to meet the girl in person and get a sense of what her personality is like, her English speaking ability, her real appearance rather than enhanced photos and whether she is likely to be compatible with your preferences.

I'm also 50 so I totally get that the average LB in her early 20's is not likely to be into me so It's good to get a sense of whether the age difference is likely to be an inhibitor or not.

The lb bar situation in Nana Plaza has changed greatly. There are only two preop lb bars left - Obsessions, on the ground floor and DC10 on the 1st floor (1 up from ground - not far from where the Casanova bar used to be.

 

You are probably better off to try some of the lounge bars - Why Not? Check Inn Bar or Cindy's Secrets - the locations of which you can find in Google Maps.

 

This is a good opportunity to see what kind of chemistry the lb has with you and your wife, rather than going with some recommendation that may not work out.
