 A bit of a dramatic day in the south as you've doubtless been reading. Thankfully everybody is safe and well - just a minor injury to a motorbike taxi driver.

 

 Ventured down to the bar at 3 p.m. and found an almost deserted soi Bangla. Very little police activity on Rat-u-Thit Road, although i gather it was pandemonium on Beach Road

 As i made my way out tonight, there were very large police roadblocks each end of Rat-u-Thit, mainly targeting thais (for a change!).

 

 Bangla was very very quiet, and a significant military presence. I imagine everything was locked-down at 2 a.m., but can't confirm at this point. Most bars were devoid of any customers, and there was a refreshing lack of chinese wandering around.

 

 Luckily C & Ds has a brave, stalwart group of customers at the moment, and we managed a significant "take", much to the envy of our thai-owned neighbours.
