Fairly rare in Pattaya where I spend most of my time. Although Kings II does it. DS is the only BKK bar where I've been upstairs so thanks for the info.

If the girls are not getting a cut of a bar fine , it must be pretty tough for some of them to earn a baht ?? I guess they just have to push harder for lady drinks I guess ?

I don't like the economy behind low costs and I don't neither like the cheap Charlie's, but a promotion based on "no bar fine" has advantages.
- Draws customers to the bar offering the promotion, more customers, more drinks sold.
- Facilitates the ST deals as people is more attracted to do a ST (where the girl gets 100% of the fee) aware he will spend, say, 1500 and not 1500+600.
As simple as that.

I think that the real driving force to the bars is the appearance of their ladyboys, rather than the saving of a few Dollars on the drinks.

Honestly I never check the prices... How much can a 10/20 or 30 baht difference make in an evening? I dont go to a bar because of prices, But i might skip one out of an average standard.
I might be a one week milionarie, but I ain't no fool.

Hey I agree , however since the OP was about a discount voucher then I guess it's only fitting that "value " is discussed to some degree . I mean if a standard drink was 150b and a lady drink was 250b then even with the vip offer I would be paying overs .
Like Hard stated , at the end of the day the punter will go where the quality gurls are anyway .

I hear what you say. Of coirse my price difference referral was for each drink. Making maybe a 100/300 saving in a night, hence "not a big deal".
I see the VIP card as a value in the BF and, as in the case of paradise, as a use of VIP room. The two combined together can offset the price of drinks or a good portion then. Still, as I stay just a few steps away from paradise I don't use the VIP room. But the opportunity is there.

Well it's an interesting concept , time will tell if its sustainable . I figure it will be hard for those bars to maintain a good stable of freelancers for too long when things are tight .

It's not about a voucher, it's a VIP Card for three bars.  I can't recall the ladydrink prices at Paradise Club, I think it ranges from 150 baht to the 200 baht Cocktail.

 

Chaos 9 all ladydrinks are 150 baht!

 

Darkside bill reflecting 170 baht ladydrinks,150 baht Sangsom.  All beers were 110 baht for customers.
