Interesting reading.....

I think your right on everything you say,i have already asked her what her dream is in life,the answer was to meet someone nice,to love them, have a wedding and be happy in life !!! i guess that may be a dream for many other LBs.... but for most i guess that is just a dream,i really don't think that is possible for many of the LBs i do not think that they are capable of really loving anybody or been totally honest with you simply because of them having a hard life and been hurt emotionally a few times along the way.. i could be wrong but i reckon the odds are 99.99% stacked against me.. however i don't mind being friends with the girl and see how thing go !!!!

I suppose i would be a fool not to give her a chance OR is it a fool to give her a chance ???

one things for sure i will be leaving my heart @ Bangkok airport when i arrive back in LOS use my head and collect my heart again on the way home !!!

When it comes to goals in life, or happiness in general, I think it runs much deeper than if the person in question is a LB or not.

From the perspective of what motivates people when it comes to love and companionship, many of us are delusional. If person looks at happiness as being goal oriented, there is a very strong chance they will be disappointed once they obtain the goal of getting married.

I try to be of the mindset of viewing happiness as a skill that is applied one's life, rather than pinning my happiness to goals or another person in the form of a relationship.

Whomever you end up in a relationship with, at some point, they will disappoint you. At some point, you will disappoint them and that is unavoidable.

If I were you, I'd try to evaluate how she handles adversity. Unfortunately you will never be able to do that via email or Skype.

From what limited information that you given us about these email exchanges, it sounds like she is using them as a way to dream of a better life. While that is understandable, it isn't very realistic.

As for her identity as a LB prostitute from Thailand, no it shouldn't automatically disqualify her as a potential companion, but I wouldn't ignore it either.

You seem like you have a grasp of what I'm talking about, because you sound realistic and acknowledge the uncertainty of this situation. She sounds like she is breaking up the boredom and dissatisfaction of her current life by engaging in these fantasy emails with you.

Even if she isn't a heartless gold digger, the chances of being in a peaceful and harmonious relationship are slim because those types of relationships are almost fairy tales.

TO the OP,

I Have to agree with other members.

It's probably/definitely a long con/long game!

Did you indicate in any way that you have assets? houses, cars, land?

Also it's more fun to have short term relationships, than a LTR.

 

I still am a victim of a long con it eats, sleeps most of the time and moody most of the time, spends a bloody lot of my money and time. So really do be careful of what you wish for. Unless of course you are in really great shape, with an 8 pack and really good with people, there is no reason why a sex worker from pattaya would want a genuine relationship (I really do hope I am wrong!)

Just go for it, but do really be mindful
