Why is it that ladyboys and other transsexuals (m2f) are portrayed in porn almost exclusively as leather clad Dommes when most of the ladyboys I have met actually prefer to be bottoms and submissive?

 

Are their male fans almost exclusively submissive too (except for a minority odd bunch out like me)?

 

Any thoughts?

I have to disagree. Most LB/TS porn isn't SM/Domme oriented. They are sometimes portrayed that way, as is more "traditional" porn but most I have seen does portray the girls as very feminine, in sexy lingerie and women's clothing..

Your original post did not specify BDSM porn - also the title of your post suggested similar to what jaybee111 thought you meant. I also interpreted the same way.

 

To speculate on your rephrased question: it seems many men involved in BDSM enjoy being dominated. By portaying ts/lbs as dommes in this kind of porn seems to generate more interest and demand, in short it makes more money for the porn producers. If on the other hand you like to see ts/lbs being dominated or want to dominate them, that is not in such demand, and you won't see much if any porn in this format.

 

Supply and demand is what drives porn. If the market is small, it probably won't be produced as it won't generate enough $$$.

Your "market forces comment" does not provide an explanation and in fact is part of the question. Since "vanilla" (men with women) BDSM videos in general cater at least as much to dominant men as submissive ones and probably more,  does that mean that men who like ladyboys are different in primarily being submissives, since the market provides nearly zero products featuring dominant men and submissive ladyboys/TS?

You've answered the question yourself. Clearly BDSM porn with submissive TS doesn't generate enough $$$. So that means men into BDSM with TS are more submissive.

 

If you can't figure that out, then you can apply for a research grant from John's Hopkins to study the subject.

I've certainly turned up enough "submissive ladyboy" porn off just google searches. It is out there.

 

Maybe you've been luckier, but when it comes to actual LBs I find a lot to be rather bold and dominate, of course most won't say no to acting submissive but it's not really their personality.  And of course there are plenty of shy submissive bottom girls out there but I have to look harder to find them.
