I think that it was likely Thai 101 conflict avoidance that caused the LB to just smile and pretend she wasn't mad. She very likely deemed both farangs as fuckwits.
Probably a more likely scenario was that most of the post was fiction or exaggerated to an extreme level.
Posts like that have a tiny bit of comedic value, but they get stale very fast.
I agree with Sebastain Tombs, compliment the good ones and don't complain about every bad experience.
The most ridiculous rant I've seen was from a big heavy set dude complaining that an LB moved to the sofa middle of the night because he was snoring.

I swear, the last time I was on that forum was at least 5 or 6 years ago and the hero controversy was going on back then.
Regardless, don't let that crap bother you, it is just shit talking, and it is best to laugh at it and move on.

One of the innate problems with forums like this ( this forum is way better than others in this regard) is that most of the conversation revolves around bars and P4P. So in that sense they are limited.
There is a whole world of people who like ladyboys who enjoy them outside of the P4P scene and outside of bars.
On past occassions mainly on other forums I have seen people ridiculed for suggesting they get sex for free etc. Here people are not rubbished nearly as much and it is an encouragement for participation

Not so much on this forum, but on other forums, you get guys who think that since they post a lot and have been a member for a year or so, they can start to dictate to mods, bm's, etc, for some reason they think that because they post a lot on forums , they seem to get a complex of i'm better than you , and what you do and post is rubbish, and what i write is great.
This attitude has spoilt many a forum, why do people have to bring politics into going on holiday? Just go to LOS and enjoy.
The forum is about educating newbies, even old dogs can pick up new tips, it's to help people.
I do not understand the guys who use the forums to stir up a hornets nest.

I heard that! ...Pardon?
Oh, to be young again
As Batman said, my birthday cake is a definite fire-hazard these days and comes with a warning attached...
"light the blue touch paper and retire immediately". Good advise, plus the visa is easier

Jimbo, I really enjoyed that story. Hats off to you for having the guts to pursue that path, and for having the skill and judgement to make it work.
As for the original purpose of this thread, I am certainly guilty of not contributing as much as I used to. I have no excuse because Moo Yung has certainly done a great job of revitalizing the forum, and we couldn't ask for any better moderators than we have now. I'm going to make a conscious effort to contribute more.
As for JonnieB, I certainly don't agree with all the opinions that Jimbo puts forth, but he has been one of the most prolific posters on the site, and his charity work in Thailand is well documented. I've never been to C&D, but I've never heard anything but good things from those who have, including the highest of praise for Jimbo's hospitality. It's one thing to "call it as I see it", and another to consciously set out to create controversy, as you seem to do constantly. As for finding his posts boring, ... well, you know how to solve that situation.

Had a drink with jimbo not so long ago in litas, as already said he was a true and we all had a great night.
I am glad that jimbo still posts his pics and tales of debauchery on the forums, as it encourages newbies to maybe start commenting on his pics, then from this they may start to contribute more.
From the early days it was jimbo and karl's contribution, amongst some superb trip reports that got me going out to thailand to finally try out my curiosity for the 3rd gender, so far my curiosity has not killed the cat . Also along the way met some decent guys.
Just hope some of the oldies start to post a wee bit more with some newbies joining in , and hopefully restore this forum to what it used to be, fun and educational. Let's keep away from the politics and the ego building that nearly spoilt all the forums, and i'm sure slowly but surely it will begin to grow once again.
As this is a niche market and the forums were a great help, and can be again.
God bless you all, a men
