[Hard News]

Tues Night:

 

Cue for a rant.

 

I ordered the bar to open as normal, but at 8.30 i got plaintive phone calls that we were the only bar to be open, and the staff were scared to death of being victimized by the police.

 So i ok'd them to close.

 At 9pm i went down to Bangla to check i wasn't being bullshitted. Sure enough all the bars and clubs were closed! WTF ! The rest of the country opens, so why, as a premier tourist destination, do we persist with this bullshit? Makes me fuckn furious. A valuable trading day unnecessarily lost just to kowtow to the Queen, who wouldn't give a damn anyway. Grrrrr.

 

And now the bars are told to close at 2.00 am each night

That`s 7 hours of trading lost each week

I feel another rant coming on !!

Greetings all.

 

First of all my sincerest apologies to Batman.  I told him back at Christmas/New year that I would become more active on this forum, but I've been a lazy so & so.  I do check in every now & then to have a perv & to see what's happening.  On one of those recent views I read Worldtourist's trip reports & thought it was so refreshing to read a trip report that was just like how I was on my early trips to LOS.  Bravo to you WT for such a good read.  Therefore I'm finally going to take time out to post some pictures which were taken at C&D both at Xmas/NY & my most recent trip last month.  Before I do that, I just want to say to Surin Nix that it was an absolute pleasure to meet you in July at C&D.  Although it was only the one night due to my eventual illness, our trip to soi Croc with Jimbo, Ga.... and Ri... was a blast.

Nice to see you in here  and thanx for the great Pictures  sadly we missed each other by a week or so last time, but i had the pleasure to meet up with Surin in Bangkok

 

It will proberly be a while before iam back...but then it will be for a longer stay( see my last TR ) so hopefully our paths will cross again

Looks like I got 4 days of sunshine and got out of the vortex in time.

 I was in that police station car park just a few hours before that picture was taken, helping the proprietor of Home Away from Home guesthouse in their quest for retribution against a swiss guest who caused an incident, just as i was collecting my motorbike from soi Paradise. At about 5 a.m. (friday morning) it started to rain like hell, and kept on for several hours. And despite all the new drains, the water now collects in the police car park !

 

To worldtourist - i'm a bit jaded with soi croc at the moment, as their pricing policy has got a bit silly. So, i only rarely visit now, when the mood is right, and the budget allow. Next time you're here, we'll go for sure.
