I am back in Germany and I am still thinking of the perfect time I had at Cocktails & Dreams....

 

Many thanks to Jimbo! You are really a great person, I enjoyed our dinners, watching the football matches, our conversations, the funny pool-matches and getting pissed together with the charming, wonderful and sexy ladyboys at your bar!

I really felt like home, every evening when I entered Cocktails & Dreams.

I met also very nice people from all over the world with the same-same addiction, even from Germany (flipper, a great guy).

 

Thanks a lot to Jimbo and all the girls / ladyboys. You all made my stay perfect!

 But many of you have a deep affection and loyalty to the bar, so i thought you'd like to see our brand new "fuck-off" sized sign that went up today.

..haha, that last pic is funny Jimbo, it's so bright you can't read it so it zeroes out the purpose of putting it up (I know it's only in the photo)..    .. but what you should've invested in was a makeover where the girls dance, I'm surprised you don't have them stumbling over all the missing tiles during their floor shows, especially with those high heels they wear..  Oh by the way, what did you do with the old sign, list it on ebay yet, or you just repositioned the original sign & added the new one?

 Missing tiles? There are no tiles on the stage, anicon. And in 7+ years i don't think i've ever seen a dancer trip over.

 I threw the old sign away.

 

 Its a shame your post has a sourness about it, as i got a buzz over reinvesting the hard-earnt profit  that so many from here had generously contributed.

 

 Maybe it was posters like you that damn nearly killed off this forum?

 It's interesting to note that the early responses on the "other forum" were enthusiastic! Shame the first one on here had to be on the sarcastic side.

  haha Nick, i hated it, and the "3 fun bars" one. I remember having such a row with Nick Jackson about those. I had to go to get my visa in England, and we had agreed signage like these pictures, but he changed it while i was away. Our relationship was never the same after that.

Only last week i was asked, by a perfectly respectable looking customer if i could obtain cocaine! I went ballistic and told him, even if he managed to obtain it elsewhere i didn't want it brought anywhere near the bar, as i have no desire to spend one second of my life in some filthy thai prison.

Does that sort of thing happen often in Patong?

The reason why I ask is, I was at one of the day time bars on Bangala and had some, normal enough, looking Aussie start talking to me. Usual banter, then out of the blue, he starts asking about were to buy cocaine.

I simply said, "This conversation is over. "

He persisted, so I got up and went and sat with a couple of the bar girls. He checked bin soon afterwards.

In retrospect, I was thinking the guy was some kind of informant for the police. The only other alternative was complete idiot. I guess either is possible.
