Charades closed last week.

Sad but not unexpected news. About 10-11 years ago it was the top lb go go bar in Thailand, and was one of the busiest with over 100 lbs on staff. The last several years it has been a shadow of its former self - 10-15 lbs working there at night and next to no customers.

 

For those Cindy fans, she has been advertising on Thaifriendly on occasion.

It's not a big deal for me. I have seldom enjoyed my experiences in bars and when I did, overpricing has left a sour taste in my mouth. I will even avoir freelancers in Bangkok. If I could get a direct flight to the jungle in Issan, I would get it. I am afraid that more bars follow.

Is Charades formerly Cascades in Nana Plaza now closed ? There was a short blub about that on the Charades commentary, but no follow up .

Around 2008-2009 it was hands down the best go-go with the best talent in Bkk.

Remember that night there was a beauty contest we attended, Rx?

I have many fond memories of this Bangkok institution. One being Janet forced me to blow her in the toilets.

Sad to see it go, but it was in such bad shape last few years.

Yes sev7en, I do remember Miss Charades 2007!  I was lucky to hear about it and make it to the contest. I took a number of photos, but they were posted to a gallery in this forum that was lost during the change to a different format.

 

That was a good night, and one of the best times I have spent in a bar. Cascade had some of the best and hottest lbs on staff back in the day, but time marches on and change is inevitable.

Charades Ladyboy Bar was bought by a new Korean owner. It has been reopened as a girly go-go bar. It is now all female and called GEISHA. You ladyboy lovers have no reason to visit this go-go bar.
