Hi guys,

 

I'm planning a trip to Bangkok in December and January. I'd love to visit Check In Bar and other Ladyboy bars.

 

The problem is I'm in a wheelchair. Can I even access any of these bars? I'm pretty good in a chair and sometimes a little help from staff is all that's needed.

 

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hopefully, your upper body is still athletic and strong, and you've got some type of off-road wheelchair.

I say this because getting up Sukhumvit Road on the sidewalk will be challenging.

Think of things like busted paving blocks, curbs of varying heights, cluttered sidewalks.

CIB is on the first floor, but I do believe there is about five steps to negotiate. The short time rooms are up a shitload of steps though.

I might swing by later in the week, I can take some pictures if you want.

If you are one of those dudes that plays wheelchair sports and can do wheelies. I can imagine it, but if you are on the frail end of the spectrum, you are going to need someone with you, just to get around Bangkok.

Thanks for the heads up. I've been to Bangkok before but in my pre wheelchair days. I do remember the state of the "pavements". I'm assuming that little has change and that's it probably worse

 

I'm strong enough and yes I can wheelie but magic is still beyond me....

 

I'm staying on soi 6 so not to far and I think I can cut though to soi 8, if not I'll risk using the road if the "pavement" is a mess.

 

Hopefully it will be worth it and I can always take a girl back to my hotel if the stairs look like Everest!

To be honest, Pattaya is much, much more "wheelchair friendly" than BKK. My suggestion is that if you have any chance to change your holiday location to Pattaya, you should do it. In BKK you are more or less trapped in your hotel room. It's fking nightmare place for wheelchair.

She's been on the service team for over a year now. When a girl doesn't get very many barfines or is having some >ahem<........."issues", June demotes them to the service team and they just go around in CIB t-shirts and trainers taking peoples drink orders. Service Team girls can still be barfined but it costs more than the other girls.
