Dynasty Inn Soi 13 balcony room overlooking the action....

I stay there every trip as the location seems to be in the middle of everything that has been mentioned..... The balcony rooms are well big enough and more than comfortable for short and longer stays.. As most of us will know the hotel itself is far from 5 star but suitably equiped for a comfortable stay. Hop skip jump to La Bamba and ST'S a short walk to Walking St and going the other way an easy stroll to Soi Diana and Bukhao......

If you are looking for a swanky hotel to spend time with a "special" girl with a good location to the action of Walking St is the Siam Elephant at the far end or jetty end of the strip its class all the way, not cheap but very nice and perfect proximity for a stroll down the strip....

agree with dynasty 100% little beer bar right across street for starting and ending the night, also a luandry spot. 24 hour room service very nicely priced and very good food. staff has always been accomodating and friendly just wish the pool was little bigger but still a nice view from rooftop. and as said before right in the center of most attractive nightspots in any direction.

The Dynasty Inn definately has plenty going for it and if in doubt it is always a safe bet for shorter stays. I've stayed there plenty of times myself too, but the swimming pool is so small that two kicks and you've done a length. Plus there's always the bonus of free transportation from Bangkok if you've stayed at the Dynasty in Bangkok (conditions apply). Dynasty Inn.

But there are much better options for monthly or extended stays, which is why I haven't stayed at the Dynasty for some years.

Long stays at one of the many LK's around 3rd Road or a nice little serviced apartment off Buakhao or off Pattaya Tai are popular (just 10 mins walk from Walking Street), some of these are great bargains, such as:

Selina Place or Tycoon Place

As always it depends on your budget and how long you wish to stay.
