Nevertheless, in many cases your attempt to assist will fall on deaf ears.
I guess after a while, you give up trying to help as it only ends up straining your otherwise solid friendships.
Sometimes guys simply need to be allowed to make mistakes and learn for themselves, although it can be expensive & distressing.

I guess you have to be pretty deluded to fall for P4P so logic does not prevail.
Having said that after an initial year of adjustments and getting them out of bar culture, most marriages work out OK from my experiences with mates.
Rough few years of adjustment to reality for both parties
