It was a wonderful time, one of the best, but as the cliche says, all good things must come to an end, for now lol. :D

I thought it was "all good things must come in an end".

I believe Wadsworth said that.

Thanks very much BB for a once again thoroughly enjoyable thoughtful and insightful ride accompanied with your most excellent photographs. :clapclap:

It captures the moment and makes the reader feel like he's never been away...even perhaps those who have never been there!

Thanks very much mate and I for one hope your next trip is not that far away.
:tada:

Thanks very much Petesie, your regular input, along with a few other guys was always appreciated and kept the momentum of the report going, cheers.

Epilogue.

The taxi arrives 10 minutes early, and before I know it I am looking at the fading lights of Pattaya in the rear view mirror. We make it to the airport in good time. The wait after I check in and get into departures gives me plenty of time to reflect on this wonderful trip, all the things that have happened, the places and faces I have seen again. I smile to myself and think how in the world did I ever get mixed up in this crazy lifestyle choice we find ourself in and end up on this particular trip.

My mind drifts back to how I came to be in Los in the first place. I was home at Xmas '01 from working in Barcelona. The job wasn't going too well, and my brother mentioned himself and a friend were going to Thailand in February and did I fancy going. Why not I thought, worth a shot, mai long, mai roo (never try, never know)as the locals say. I went back to Barcelona on my return flight to tie up a few loose ends, and four weeks later I arrived in Los for the first time. Little did I know then that in a few years I would actually be living in Bangkok, and that in later years I would get to know some wonderful guys who loved these ladyboys I had heard about. The memory of those tentative years brings a grim to my face.

Then I move on to ponder how I came to meet Ninewives, a chance meeting in March '10 that would result in him encouraging me to go on this trip almost a year later. I had met him briefly in JSB a day or two after the volleyball competition in October '09. We parted company and I did not see him again. Then in March last year, I was coming out of soi BJ, and NW was sitting alone in Blue Sky bar, he called my name as I passed and asked me where I was going. I told him Linda's, and he said he would follow me over as soon as he had finished his drink, if that was ok. Of course it was.

He mentioned he was at a loose end, and I told him about the upcoming Ezy RT. He was all on for it, and booked it the next day. That chance encounter was to set in motion a chain of events that was to lead directly to me sitting in departures now. Don't you love the magic of Los.

And now the final check in begins. The staff are manning the counters, the girl greets me with my name before looking at my ticket, she is the same one who checked in my baggage a few hours earlier, great memory, or my Irish charm left a lasting impression, you decide lol. I shuffle down towards the plane, step on board, one small step for BB...., and wonder when I'll set foot on Thai soil again. "The dream is .....

Gaelic charm aside you encapsulate and set the scene for all our entrance and of course inevitable departures from the place we call...LoS.

There is nothing to compare than wandering around the Soi's and Boys to find yourself and Donny's smiling faces sat amongst a plethora of LB's having a good old laugh.

Brilliant and thoughtful report BB, I hope this will go on to the TR's of Distinction as it really deserves too.

Thanks,

Petesie.
