your trip report is great It reminds me of why i both love and loath (the last part) LOS. Surely makes me think twice before I return )Im scheduled for december) but at the same time I justlove the feeling of days drifiting into nights, just enjoying the weather and the scenarey.
Thankyou for taking ur time to put togheter one of the besttrip reports ever!

Your trip report has an enjoyable inviting style probably only matched by our very own KK. At the moment I am reading a book by Stephen Fry, and (IMO), he is a wonderful writer. In one particular chapter he goes into the splendid feeling he gets (or had) when smoking a pipe. The way he described it was so eloquent and persuasive I nearly ran down to my local shop to buy a bloody pipe.
BB, what your trip report creates (for me) is an amazing sense of being there. I rarely get that from most trip reports (as enjoyable as all are). Just from the description of your wanderings I am longing for the meanderings of LOS. Leaving aside the upsetting incident towards the end of your report I sense (it’s bloody obvious as you have stated it) that it is the freedom, enjoyment of people watching, meeting of likeminded people that has (forgetting the woes of our motherland) become your real (perhaps real should be replaced with primary?) source of enjoyment. I don’t think it is the jaded feeling many of us have but it is something different. Yous still have the spark
Your report really makes me think about what my next trip report will be like. It (my trip) will be enjoyable but certainly different from the insanity of early days.
Hat tipped sir!
I have gotta for get about having qualificatins in statements. I guess that comes with too much red wine

Also wise and true words from trousersnake, very insightful for a newbie.
Just like being there I have not been looking forward to the final installment, it means the adventure is over.
You hint that the rest of the evening did not go to plan, perhaps you said "fuck it, lets have another two weeks"...yippee, more posts

Thanks very much trousersnake. You are correct, it is the content feeling of being in an LB accessible environment, with like minded guys that makes the whole experience magic for me. Glad to hear you have gotten some ideas for your next TR from these pages, feedback like that makes it all worthwhile, cheers.Required reading.

Wishful thinking Patrick, but when the check in time calls, we all must obey. It was a wonderful time, one of the best, but as the cliche says, all good things must come to an end, for now lol. Good to hear you enjoyed it.Have to agree with OTS the black and white photo of Lilly is sensational.

It captures the moment and makes the reader feel like he's never been away...even perhaps those who have never been there!
Thanks very much mate and I for one hope your next trip is not that far away.

I thought it was "all good things must come in an end".
I believe Wadsworth said that.
