but on a serious note, your judgement of pattaya is way off the mark. how can you even consider writing about pattaya after only spending one day there

The answer t the question in my opinion is as follows:
Bangkok - for shopping, city site seeing and excellent up market restaurants and venues. Sometimes I like to pretend I'm a snob for a few days..
Hua Hin - Relaxing beach hol, less active night life compared to other places but still busy enough to have a good time.
Phuket - Great for diving, relaxation ans well as the beach life if you want it. The nightlife is superb, depending on where you go and your tastes.. Accom is well priced and comfortable.
Pattaya - A good night vibe, neon and blasting music and plenty of entertainment, be it on your own for a lone hunt or with like minded friends on a bar trawl... Patts is a good all rounder and is as cheep or expensive as you choose.. ''up to you''
Those are my places of interst for the moment.. Would like to try Chaing Mai at some point as well..
