Although the AC is repaired and not leaking anymore ... somehow
Guess bar has a new water leak ... now coming from the ceiling 2
meters away from the AC but right at the bar again ... was
unpleasantely showered by the water coming down from it ... this
time i went yesterday evening and played some pool but was
disappointed by the lack of nice physical talent and their
enthousiasm... (know it is a matter of
personal opinion ) so ventured into Nana to visit the usual places.
Guess used to be the place to be for me (back in the old days in the
other location and as well in it's current location but somehow lost
some appeal for me). Most say they did a remarkable job in re-
decorating the place.
At the front of the bar, the building has a flat roof - apparently the technicians from the hotel have tried fixing it multiple times but its clearly not worked and now they say they cannot do anymore until they get some dry weather as the cement won't dry
It seems to be a nightmare getting what should be a simple job done but there were loads of techie type guys in all day on Friday doing something in the roof space and on the roof itself - some was adding even more aircon capacity but i think some were trying to seal the roof from inside which seems a weird way of doing it to me. If the atmosphere was subdued last night its probably down to all the girls having serious hangovers - they were all there till about 4am Saturday morning with the party night and they put away a serious amount of drink. The guy who had the birthday party rang the bell I believe 11 times. I'd be surprised if the bar even had many hostess in situ last night - invariably lots call in sick and sleep for a full 24 hours.

I am receiving word from Bangkok that the water leak in the flat roof has now been fixed 100% and thus you no longer need to take your own shampoo into the bar for a quick shower while you order your beer at the bar. The cynic in me asked "has it been raining" expecting a negative answer 
However apparently it has been raining and the new roof sealant IS holding up..... Time will tell how long this band aid solution at probably the price of a new roof will last.........
A new illuminated roof sign has gone up which is double the size of the old sign so even less reason for patrons to say they could not find Guess Bar.
Seemingly two new staff have started this week and no doubt I will get some pics emailed through at some point but in the meantime, here are some random shots taken over the last 10 days.
Aui, Ink & May now form the service team with Moo acting as Tom Cruise behind the bar with the cocktail shaker. All are being issued with new uniforms as shown below.

Gigi celebrated her birthday last week and surprising to me at least, still seems to pull in the numbers when other younger models don't last the course. Presumably it is down to her massage abilities which seemingly are excellent having studied it professionally - something I was not even aware until she gave me a shoulder massage a couple of weeks ago.

Not to be outdone, GATE decided that she did not need a podium and switched to the pool table itself. Hopefully nobody was playing at the time

The bar looks lovely, mardhi. Congratulations.
I shall be venturing up there, for my first visit in 2 years, at the end of the month. It would be good to catch up and have a beer if you're around. If not, i'm sure i can get Tong to entertain me! Even that little service staff Ink had my sap rising!
Good to see Guess Bar back in the limelight again.

Very good idea to add the podiums, hopefully help to keep the girls occupied and off the pool table.... podium
I hope they're a success, certainly looks good so far
