Unbelievable! I'm in the US and a local sports channel just showed the Mello own goal and reminded the audience about Escobar's own goal years ago. WTF are they thinking. That was tragic. Irresponsible journalism knows no bounds.

I so agree sev7en! Just to give Southafrica the Cup in the first place is a joke..the pitches suck big time too..& why? Its bloody winter down there now..offcourse the pitches are not in their best condition then. Some games have been played on grass & mud that hardly suits for a rugby game in Scotland in December damn it.. But the FIFA-mafia with that cunt Blatter is doing anything to be political correct..I just think it stinks
. I guess he & his gang did get alot of "blood diamonds" from the gouvernment.Then on top of it..just trow in a new football that no player can handle & actually never touched before..how clever is that?
Not to mention those fu**ing horns they blow everywhere..

Hope you English BMs have a sense of humour...
I would suggest that as a nation the UK (not just England) and Ireland have the best sense of humour that I have encounterd anywhere in this World with the possible exception of Australia.
Mind you......with football teams like ours we have needed it.
You should see the excuses they are coming out with now to explain their lack of performance
The latest is fatigue due to the long English Premier League season......yet last night I was watching Ghana running around like their lives depended on it and guess where many of that team play their club football.Anyway.....Good Luck to Holland.....I'm a self appointed adopted Dutchman for the next week
