Here's the crack fellas.

I know fuck all about Philli, (to be honest, I know fuck all about Thailand too) but I'm ever so tempted for a small side trip there next month on my way to LOS.

We all know it's not as big a scene there as LOS, but the one's I find myself chatting to these day's from Philli are seriously floating my boat.

So, please, Cebu, Manila, or Angeles City for a 3 night, LB "look around"? Tips on areas and places to stay all listened too, along with more recent ideas of cost of LB's, how the bar scene works there, etc.

Before you bite my head off and say "search button", I will be trawling through this thread myself, but any more recent insider knowledge whilst I do look is gratefully recieved.

Still exploring my options Hoff....it's such a pain to get to, it appears easier to get there from Hong Kong, which I am routing through anyway.

Of course I would still be in Patts in plenty of time for the bash.

nice idea to explore other LB locations but I would recommend that if you go to PI then 3 days will not be enough.

Its a fair distance from Bangkok

You will probably lose a day travelling getting there and a day to return to BKK. Most likely you will have to fly via Hong Kong or via KL (air asia has direct flights to Manila from KL)

If you must go there I would recommend you should go for at least 5 days.

or if only a short time available then why not go to Cambodia.

I'd definitely contact dazed and guys like XYYYZ and essexboy who either live there or are regular visitors - but especially kliome as he will have the latest scoop from the perspective you're interested in - that would be pure sex tourist sleazebag.

Of course the big advantage of the PI girls is their English skills - so if you're in chat mode from the UK they'll easily outshine the average Thai. If you want to take a quick break from Thailand in the midst of your trip, discount carrier Cebu Pacific flies in and out of Bangkok from a number of Philippine locations - Manila, Subic, etc.. Flights looked pretty cheap - but HK is definitely closer and should be even cheaper given the huge population of Filipina domestic servants there.

I've met some outstanding PI ladyboy "escorts" up here in the PRC - mostly from Cebu it would seem - but it sounds like the "scene" is fairly limited there in terms of dedicated bars and places to indulge. Maybe best to try and get one of your chat pals to be your "friend with benefits" and act as your guide in, say, Cebu, while clearly letting her know that you will be looking for strange and that she will have to share...

Cheers for the links Pela...other then a visit to Angkor Wat, Cambodia never really appealed.

I do know Phili is a bitch to get to, but as I'm routing via Hong Kong anyway, I can jump straight on a flight to Cebu with Cathay, or just go via Manila and buy full fare to Cebu. I'd get back to Bangkok with Thai or Kuwait Airways from Manila, so all in all sounds fairly easy. I like the idea of perhaps employing a guide, but where's the sense of adventure?
