I notice my pictures are fine before I upload them but grainy afterwards.................must be an automatic somethingorother at play here................

Yes dude, there is an autosizer at work here now, anything above 650px either way will be reduced.

e.g. Your 600x800 are being reduced to 490x650 pixels.

If you resize them yourself before uploading they will come out perfick
