As a postscript:
Sadly, the effects of alcohol affected Patricia's driving skills, and she had a spill on the way home.
The usual cuts and grazes - hopefully she'll not be too badly damaged, and will be in the bar tonight.

Not tonight, Jimbo ... and not for at least 1 week, I'm afraid.

Just chatted with her briefly on Skype, while she was with Nic, and had a quick look (of course, she didn't want to show too much, as I'm sure you can all understand).

But - the spirit is unbroken, as I'm sure everyone would expect of Patricia, and I'm sure she'll be back as soon as the odd graze is disguisable by some make-up

I just spoke with Patricia on the phone. She will go to hospital today and once more in two days. She told me what happened. I am so sorry for her. It seems that she will be out for one or two weeks. I just hope it will not leave any permanent damage.

Not bad luck Bullseye - it was stupid really. we were totally bladdered and should have taken a taxi. I got away with it, but it seems Patricia was not so lucky!
I hope she's better soon.

I'm away in Nakhon Nowhere, Had Yai, and Penang (for visa) for the next few days, please excuse radio silence!
