where the fuck do thai lbs and ggs get these ridiculous nick names from.
balloon, golf, noon, pond, oil, moo, pookie and for the finale wawa tata and dada
I mean FFS they could pick better nick names than this, and these are only a few off the top of my head.

Noon, Pookie, Moo and other Thai names come from parents, relatives and friends in early childhood; they use nicknames to stop the evil spirits knowing their real names, keeping them safe.

As for the other names, well yeah.... This Is Thailand..... it's probably marketing!

37 years in Asia, 35 years with the 3rd sex.

When you take your last breath, don't be thinking, "I wish I had....." It'll be too late then!

I think it's just a cultural thing, they probably think our nicknames are just as fucked up.

rev, I am surprised you posted this subject. Thai language and culture is very different from the west so it would be unusual for a Thai to have western nicknames - swinecanine posted a good summary of some common ones.

Rat of course would not mean the same as what we call a rat just as Porn like Porn laundry does not mean you can get a short time if you go to that laundry.
