OK so decisions have been made, count down has started.

MDS coming back to LOS in Sept '09

Anyone else considering the hop over in Sept?

Also as per below just booked a one way to KL and starting to plan the April Songkran trip ;D

Also working out if it is worth going to Bali, anyone been and can give there advice?

I'm sure many will disagree with me (that's the usual) but Bali is somewhere I would never go back to again.

My time there was marred almost completely by constant harrassment from street vendors, hawkers and other ponces. Even the beach wasn't a refuge, despite the tidemark on the sand supposedly being a hassle free zone. The hard-sell is what killed it for me, but Lombok nearby was beautiful for the travellers.

However, I'm not writing off Indonesia altogether at all. If I was to return I'd like to go to Jakarta again and/or the islands of Bintam and Batam which are less than an hour away by ferry from Singapore's World Trade Centre port. Good sex scene there and I can only imagine it is much better than it was 11 years ago when I went.

It's just so hard to shake off Thailand as a destination these days :|

MDS my advice to you is BINTANG and plenty of it...... Unlike DC i loved the street banter the tshirts and the sunglasses but each to their own....

Dont know much about the LB scene as when i became interested in it i was in bali but too shy to ask around so decided to hit the main source and head straight to LOS and havent been back.....

Beautiful part of the world great food and people and i am sure you will find what you are looking for and have a great time trying....

thanks DC and lbamylover for your input makes some food for thought.

I have an old Friend in Bali she is Farang and no I did not sleep with her.
So am thinking if it is worth the venture there for a couple of days.

Options this time for me for something new are Indonesia in some form, Cebu or Cambodia.

Have not tasted the Bintang yet.

I like the slim look of some of the Indo girls and do not get me started on that dark skin.

The plan is coming together, should be booking tickets in a couple of weeks...waiting for the funds to become available.

Leave approved, works out going for 11days and only using 8 days AL.

This means Holiday for me in April 2010 to Thailand again.

Be in LOS from 9th Sept-20th Sept

AirAsia sale took the plunge today- booked my flights from Australia to Malaysia Return.

Malaysia to Phuket done.

So on track to arrive Sept 9 in Phuket.

Now just got a few more details to confirm before it is all on :twisted:

I am now almost all sorted, except for my Pattaya acom that should be sorted by mid of next week
