Greetings everybody,

This is my first post and I just wanted to introduce myself, as well as say thank you to all members here. This is really a fabulous site and you all have put something together here that is deserving of congratulations.

I have neither been with a ladyboy nor to Thailand yet, however those sorry facts will change. Because I am a 'newbie' here and to this subject, I haven't posted anything before, not really having anything to contribute. I have been visiting the site occasionally for the better part of a year though, and I joined just recently. My visits have become more frequent!

Truly, upon seeing my first katoey (pics), I realized that another of life's miraculous secrets had just made its presence known (I believe "Holy Shit!!!" were the words that thundered out) and, golly, things just haven't been the same since. I have my own theories about the nature of the attraction, but I won't bore anyone with them, as I also agree with most of you that it's always just a personal thing, varies greatly from person to person, and in the end who cares! Fortunately, I don't care (though I may find it interesting) and look very much forward to being in LOS, meeting some of you perhaps, and walking down any street with a ladyboy on my arm and a smile on my face, asking tourists if their confused look means they need some help with something.

I work in the visual arts, mostly traditional 'fine art' mediums, but also film and music - vague perhaps but who really cares anyway - just as an introduction of myself. I do have many friends who have been to Thailand many times over the years and several of whom have moved there. I don't know why it has taken me so long...! Currently, I am based in Asia (China...), am from The States, but have lived in North America for a total of one in the last fourteen years. If, after venturing to Thailand, everything falls into place, I will probably move there. If the work thing doesn't pan out there, I will just be a regular visiting friend, spending too much time on the internet when not there.

Again, thank you to everyone here and, in particular, a special thank you to Jim for this great thread, his obvious contribution to Phuket and to the ladyboys themselves, and for providing me with a good place to 'jump in' to the lb-69 waters. Jim, I look forward to meeting you when I make it there and that goes for all of you fellas. And, as I am a painfully honest soul, I REALLY look forward to meeting all of the gorgeous ladyboys.

I agree with your comments about Mary, and anyway, i'm not sure NingNong is too keen to take her back. Her decision. Personally, i like Mary and never had a problem with her, but i agree with you: she would struggle at C & Ds now - just too many young sexy things to compete with. And yes, she's had a terrible Low Season and has lost some weight.

Thurs Night

A blistering night - and no BMs about! Dunno where all the customers came from last night although there were a lot of yanks about, from the USS Ronald Reagan. 20 barfines and 112 ladydrinks!! Made for a lot of happy staff. Happy boss too, lol!

This is newbie, Nan. Been here a few weeks now amd is settling in well, with just enough barfines to survive.

Yes, can confirm he is Danish, batman. So is the owner of The Hilltop Hotel, next to the Skylab. Excellent food, including home-made bread and pastries! I'll treat you to dinner up there when you come in November.

Thanks boarhog, I'm very happy to be here. I think you may be right one of my friends with years of Thailand travel says "Phuket, definately!" I'm not sure if he likes LBs or not, but could be, I'll have to ask him. Sounds like a good plan, I'd love to make it my first "port of call".

I will sure go into C&D and thank Jim personally, no question about that. And after seeing how lovely the ladies there are - wow - can hardly wait.
