Sat 2pm

Last night was again, pretty average. I have real concerns about the fall-out from this PAD demonstration
1. Next week we are bound to feel the effects of no inbound flights
2. Cancellations for the next 3 months are at record levels, and new bookings virtually non-existent
3. The police have told PAD that this must end today, but i have no confidence that it will. If the police go in heavy-handed there will be blood spilt. A negotiated withdrawal would probably mean this will go on until the King's birthday (5th Dec). by that time the Thai economy will be in ruins.
4. The military could take over - another coup? That too will destroy the economy.
5. The PM resign? I dont think so, Thaksin will have told him to stay put.
6. The government to agree a new election? Same as 5 above.

What a fucking mess. The Thais amaze me at their ability to commit financial suicide. I'm beginning to think its time to move on - maybe Cambodia or Viet Nam would be a better bet.

Went over to Tiger complex with Voodoo, and had a drink with sexy Amy. If only she would stop taking the drugs, she would be sensational. She was all twitchy last night, and at 3.30 dashed off with a couple of others, presumably to go to the disco to get rid of some energy. I think Voodoo was unamused, as he had just bought her a lady-drink.

Saturday Night

Voodoo managed to get a late booking on a SILK airlines to Singa, for onward flight to the UK. So its left to Pentire to report from a BM point of view. By the look of his activities so far, there should be some really tasty photos.
