Then the day you've waited so long for eventually arrives as another year of your life has disappeared in an unfullfilled haze.. your bags pre-packed months ago.. you're on-board the aircraft bound for Nirvana.. your aircraft touches down.. you see your first beautiful girl and your heart races as you breath in the air that has just passed over her delicious olive-skinned body...
But you blinked and it's all over... you're back at the airport checking in for home only to start the whole sad mind-numbing process all over again right from the very beginning.. ground zero.. day one.. then you again start counting everyday ungratifying day as it passes slowly by in a thunderous cloud of total tedium.

by going for a month in April I thought it would be like an eternity but all too soon the 3rd and 4th weeks whizzed past and I was back at immigration being stamped on the way out again.

Have you ever wondered why time passes so frustratingly slowly in your homeland while you grind through each boring and tedious day in an unfullfilling and painfully slow cloud of drudgery and blurred boredom?
Then the day you've waited so long for eventually arrives as another year of your life has disappeared in an unfullfilled haze.. your bags pre-packed months ago.. you're on-board the aircraft bound for Nirvana.. your aircraft touches down.. you see your first beautiful girl and your heart races as you breath in the air that has just passed over her delicious olive-skinned body...

I'll take my 4-6 weeks of Nirvana anytime over the lifestyle of the average lemming in this world.
6 day to go~~ The clouds are finally lifting on the drudgery

Personally, you hit the nail on the head. LOS has the ability to create a beast that upsets the status quo and distort reality. Once you have been bitten, regular life no longer seems interesting and the only cure is ingest the drug again & again to make everything normal. Trips become more frequent, normal life seems mundane, the only thought is when to return. Everything takes a backseat.
It really is a warning to others - take a reality check regularly.
I consciously decided when i came back last time that i needed to take my life back. I was getting too far gone - It was the right decision.
Still, I'm very much looking forward to returning to Disneyland.
When i step off the plane next Saturday morning, my lungs will fill with the humid Bangkok air, my heart will beat a little quicker, my senses more alert for that special girl walking in street - the rush begins.
