Pentire is a professional gambler :!: Great result mr.major
Makes me wonder what happened to that swedish steel sev7en was talking about
Yeah, well, what can i say. They scored on overtime. We were tired and only defending us in the last part of the game, not so pretty, but i think we were better than Spain in first half. 1-1 would´ve been fair. And when Ibrahimovic is missing we are hurting bad. Larsson needs him, vice versa. We´ll take Russia though and in the the knockouts, ANYTHING can happen...
Thanks for your conern though, pink panther, how did your british team do? I can´t seem to find them in the scedule...What group are they in?

11/1 on betfair.....3-1 would have been better, that was 23/1.
Tonight the draws 0-0 & 1-1 are 9/1 & 8/1.
If you meen the Turkey game, so take a look at their injury list first!
They will lose 2-0

No I meant the Greece v Russia match which of course ended 0-1 so I lost £200.00 on that one

Portugal will not give Schweiz any slack eventhough they are already through, 3-0.
The reigning Euro Champs has been a disgrace, but very satisfying to see that their type of football not a winning type

He also warned that, unless already proven in the English game, he would not be trying to buy any stars of the tournament with high price tags because the risk of failiure was just too great due to the different style.
That probably explains why many of the EPL rejects seem to be doing ok I suppose.
Ok, on to todays games which kick off simultaneously in around four hours.
Switzerland v Portugal is a dead rubber with the hosts eliminated and Portugal already through as group winners therefore, although I expect Portugal to win fielding a second string team, I shall have £50.00 (at 12/1) on Manchester United's Nani to score the first goal assuming he starts.
But the Turkey v Czech Rep match in Geneva is far more interesting and as Sev7en points out, a draw means penalties.
However, I'll take the Czechs for a 2-0 or 3-0 victory over those dirty Turks

i think youre right abourt the Czech/turkey....havent been playing...but i think that Sionko will make the first goal... :wink:I was listening to Arsene Wenger on the radio this lunchtime and he reckons that the matches at this tournament are a much slower tempo than English Premier League games. He went on to say that, by the time the tournament is concluded, the same amount of games played in the EPL would aggregate 100km more distance covered.

I know it´s painful that Engerland is not good enough to qualify among the best european teams, but coming up with all these excuses is just bitter fruit, pt.
Capello ( it takes a foreigner as you know) will take you to World Cup in two years, cheer up

At 2-0 behind, Turkey were 957/1 to win 2-3 on Betfair
What a terrible howler by Petra Cech who many experts regard as the best goalkeeper in the world :o
