I'm not too certain that "hiding" anything in your luggage (explicit photos on a flash card, for example) is a very good idea (coming back to the US, anyway). Since US Customs has a real hardon for single male travelers returning from Thailand (and nearly searches every guy these days), AND one never knows exactly what they may consider "obscene", it just doesn't seem worth the chance.

While "nudes" aren't illegal, per se, if the LB looks young (as many do) and the customs agent is a prick (and you have no signed release stating the age of the person is over 18, or you have some expliicit scene photos (which could be deemed obscene) . . . .I think you see where I'm going with this. Too much subjectivity involved to be on the wrong end of a bad customs decision, with nothing but downside for YOU.

For example, I've had CD's with photos burned previously (again, nothing obscene) and they were in with my regular CD's (which they did examine) and customs looked at the CD.

If you are serious about taking "explicit" photos while in Thailand and bringing them back into the US, load them on the net before you travel.

Best to take advantage of technology, rather than run afoul of customs, since if you do, it will be in the system forever, and you'll never be hassle free at the airport (or any other US border crossing) again.

Thanks for well thought out response. Everything you mentioned is part of the reason I did not take any photos the last time around.

Better safe than sorry. I just want some memories from the trip, and I have no desire to get in trouble at customs.

The only obscene photos may have to be my fat, pasty white body sitting on the beach.

Burn, It to a cd and keep it with my normal collection. and upload the rest to email I doubt they ask any questions, I dont think they have the time to go through each and every cd, I have all are origanal so no problems there and ill be flying back to the uk to wonderfull heathrow and there they not to strict only with liquids I belive, Not sure what the rules are about this

I've made 5 trips to LOS since December 06 and have never been stopped by customs on my return. Could that be because I never check luggage and always only one carry-on bag?

I've never even given this a second thought , I've never been searched before and have only took a couple of Nudie photos . I'm more worried about being monitored about what sites I visit and download from as importing anything adult is illegal unless its been past the censors. I've always thought they would be more worried about other forms of Porn than consenting adults enjoying themselves on Holiday.

Prostitution is now Legal here I cant see they would object to some adult Holiday photos.

Automorph's point about young looking lbs is valid - if they even have a slightest suspicion that you are taking underage nude photos - game over for you!

The advice is for those who would rather be safe than sorry. While it seems not everyone is checked, certainly if you end up being that "one", it isn't a happy moment.

Sorry guys but i not intrested, in that sort of stuf im just going on a regular holiday few bars here and there getting pissed not intrested in taking porn pics and underage lbs.

If you have any concerns about customs agents seeing what's on your digital camera memory card, what you can do is keep one card for the saucy pics and one for the tourist photos, when its time to come home just delete the entire card with the porn on it to make it look like it was never used. When you get home use a program like Cardrecovery to recover the deleted photos. If you keep two seperate cards then the numbering of the tourist photos will be consistant rather than have gaps in it which may draw attention. I'd be surprised if anyone from customs searches you to that extent to start with but at least you don't have to deal with the embarasment of them seeing potos of you burried up to your nuts in a ladyboy. just going to enjoy my trip not intrested in problems with customs as i got nothing to hide not into any of those things just my beer and few bars etc any other tips first time with lbs ? as i taking the plunge with alb for with a lb for first time

I was surprised to read that customs in some countrys are interested in the pics on your camera.

This never happened to me when i get back to Germany. I never was controlled in any way. I just show them my german passport and they let me proceed.

Strange to hear that some of you are discussing how to hide your private photos. But better you do if you really have this problem with the customs in your homecountry.

A friend of a workmate got body searched and had all his photos looked through and I think some were confiscated if they were associated with dope smoking .
Mind you he normally gets into fights everytime he gets drunk so probobly fits the profile the Customs Agents look for.

I've declared stuff for Customs inspection like carvings and food and they could'nt get rid of me fast enough.
