I normally travel solo, and as a result of this forum and others like it, always have plenty of guys to meet up with for a chat and a beer.

Find yourself a sweet ladyboy to keep you company back at the hotel, and you are totally set.

When you have finalised your trip arrangements, post a message in the classifieds section of the forum and other forum members planning to be in Thailand at the same time will respond and you can organise to meet up.

Cheers

Traveling Solo is the best,
You will never be alone when you are with the LB's. Also there will be no one to judge you, and if you want some fun company you can hook up with the guys from the forum, I hear they are cool.

It's impossible to be alone in Bangkok and Pattaya. There always seems to be several forum members about, and it's easy to chat and meet up with fellow genst in the bars, LB and GG.

If I'm travellling elsewhere around Thailand/Asia I try to go with a friend, otr even take a LB or GG with me once I'm there.

I also fly out of SFO...many guys likely do as well...

Follow Koykaeng's sage advise and post your trip dates in the Classified Forum when they are firm...

I'll sure you'll be able to meet up with some fellow mongers...

Cheers,

I guess if your buddies are like minded on the subject of ladyboys then try and make the trip with your buddies, other wise, solo travel is the way to go.

Rob30 makes a very good point in regard to scammers. Thailand has a lot of scammers working the tourist areas. If you've never been to a country like Thailand or Bali where dishonesty is commonplace then I would strongly recommend searching for general tourist forums and trying to find out about the various scams going. At least if you have a basic understanding of the various scams you can recognise them and not get caught up in them. Thailand was my first real taste of international travel and I was very much unprepared for the scammers and basicaly got mixed up in all sorts of shit which wasted time and took a lot of the fun out of my trip. Had I known then what I know now I could have avoided a lot of trouble and had a much better time. I think scammers view solo travelers as softer targets, as the saying goes, two heads are better than one (meaning two people may be more likely to realise what the scammer is up to).

Also, if you have issues with being alone then you can quiet literally hire a girlfriend for a few days. Once when I was in Phuket I was at a resturant having lunch and a couple of girls came up to me with a photo album with pictures of girls. The offer was for an escort to hang with me and keep me company for my time in Phuket. I'm sure you could easily find someone to help you out in that area if you asked around.

Hi

Want to travel to Bangkok and Pattaya, but the only problem is none of my buddies can make the trip in November when I go. So my question is: Is it cool to travel solo and just make the best of the trip, or does one need to have a buddy to check things out with? I have no problem traveling solo, but want is it a cool thing to do when in Thailand. Thanks

Ive got to agree with the mob on this one. Traveling solo is no problem. If you find yourself lonely - go pick up a girl you really liked.

The trip will definately be a lot more fun, though, if you hook up with a fellow hunter.

I traveled solo the first time. Met up with another hunter and had the time of my life. Imagine going to the beach and having fun. You, your girl, your mate and his girl. Paradise man. Paradise. It's all I have to say.

Club 131 has very quickly developed into a meeting place for ladyboy lovers, and if you spend a few hours there, you are bound to meet other folks with similar interests.

The same applies to Guess Bar in Bangkok.

If you let Franck at Club 131 or Jay at Guess Bar know you are from the forum, they will happily introduce you to other forum members that happen to be in the bar.

I have met heaps of guys from this forum and others this way.

Although it was amusing when Franck's staff continually referred to me as Mr Koykaeng.

Cheers
