However, I have done some research and only since January 1st have european sites started to paint a different picture to the actual reality of the situation in Thailand at the kiosks.
Also, in recent times I have sent my money into Thailand via electronic transfer from my UK bank to my Thai account at Bangkok Bank using the commercial rate quoted in London at the time. Now I must instruct HSBC to send sterling to my Thai account so the conversion happens in Thailand and not the UK.
Previously the difference was negligible, not now !
