Pattaya - 800-1500bht

Food
BKK - 500 - 800bht
Pattaya - 400 - 600bht
Obviously more if you end up staying LT and buy a meal for LB, which is likely to happen a few times.

Transport
BKK - 100-300bht (Taxis and BTS - no tuk tuks for me thanks!)
Pattaya - 200bht (motorbike hire and gas) or motorbike taxi

Barfines
BKK - 600 bht
Pattaya - 200-600bht

LB's tips
BKK - ST 1000 -1500 Bht LT 1500-2500
Patatay - ST 600 - 1000 LT 1000-2000
( I don't use ST rooms - only sometimes if they are on site)

Drinks/Alcohol
BKK and Pattaya - 1000-3500 Bht

Miscellaneous
Shopping/motorbike fines/money lost while drunk
500- 3000 Baht/day

I have never had a budget for a holiday myself - I spend what I need to spend to enjoy myself - but I have to say, my thinking is with Costas on this - why fly X'000's of miles/km's only to watch everything you spend.

Out of curiosity, where are you staying in Pattaya for that? I it worth the extra.

I've tried to hire a car before to drive to the North but couldn't get a good deal in Pattaya. Where do you book your car hire?

Haha - Kliome: What a pragmatist:) Do budget for it: I can't say that I've lost money being drunk - but I've lost money just being stupid. Its life:) And in the LOS - its so worth it;)

However LoS is so much more fun if you forget about budget and just go with the flow.

While in BKK 10k bath + hotel

While in Pattaya 5k bath + hotel

BUT first two days: Spend whatever you like - worry later.


On my Nov/dec run this year however I'm a bit short... So my plan is to abuse my mastercard until the ATM swallows it. Then I start to count money and think about budget... I'll tackle the economics when Im back in my miserable life in Norway.
