I'm off to Bangkok, staying at Shangri la. Any issues with access for the girls getting in? Anyone had stayed here and have any reviews?

I have stayed there many times. No issues as long as guest is well dressed and groomed. I tell them -no spike heels and no deep and obvious cleavage. If the they are meeting you there they can go straight up to the room since no elevator key is required except for the Horizon floors in the main wing. Best to let the front desk known that you are expecting a visitor or meet in the lobby. If escorting in, no problem as long as not loud and distracting. Front desk may ask for their ID. Same is true for Makati Shangri la except they do have elevator access keys. In many cases I will leave an extra key in an envelope with the concierge desk for my guest to pick up.

Good advice fanihi - the Shangri La is very upscale, so the lb shouldn't be dressed in "slutwear". Did you ever try having 2 lbs at a time? I have heard that the more upscale hotels will charge for more than 1 guest at a time.

I have never tried at the Bangkok Shangri la but has never been a problem at the Makati property-not to say that speaks for Bangkok-they may well have different policies. I usually bring in early and/or leave a key at concierge. I suggest bringing in early evening or day time and give them a key. Late night drunken staggering in will certainly raise eye brows.

Thanks for the info. Not sure where I will stay in my upcoming trip but have thought about Shangrila.
