Sorry for my absense lately but its been a F..... busy time of my life

 

about 15 months ago i was in LOS for 2 months studying, and there i met a fellow countryman who just opened a restarent/bar in Jomtien,,,we quicly became friends and 2-3 trips later he asked if i wanted to join him in his business as it was growing faster that he could manage together with his other partner... having been there many many nights and knowing all the numbers it only took me a month of thinking before i said yes...

i wont tell the price...but it was more than fair...so i went back home working my ass off for a period...and the share is now paid...plus i have so i can live nicely for about 1-2 years without having to take money out of the bar...

 

the bar is allready running with a nice profit...but we made a deal to keep the money in the business as we wants to expand further ( we started with 1 unit...we have 2 now ) and we are looking for the next unit now :-)

 

But sad to say...its a non-lb business....its a kind of family place with a lot of ex-pats so i wont be promoting it in here

 

just so you know why i havent been much online....

 

from marts i will be almost resident most of the year in Thailand...so i will try to take a day off sometime so i can keep you posted about the LB-scene in Jomtien mostly...but ofcourse also in Pattaya

 

Hope to get some good reports about Jomtien too

Sorry for my long absence Guys....

 

as you know already..i bougt a share in the restaurent/bar in Jomtien...and then i went Down there in the beginning of marts for a 2months stay...

 

let me just say...i was busy...busy...busy....worked 16-18 hours every day most of the times present in the bar..but also "Work behind the scene"   i was in pattaya only 2 times...both times for less than 4 hours before heading back to my business...

 

so how did it go.... well...in march...we improved our sale with more than 60% from last year....in april...the number was over 100% increase   but F... i have to admit...it did made me tired....

 

so i had a flight home for a month in may to Work back home....but still my partner managed to keep the Progress...not sure how much yet...but it seems like more than 100% increase Again this month

 

but just before my return...we got an offer we couldnt refuse as they say in godfather....we were offered to also buy a hotel...at a fucking cheap Price...so my last 7 days before i returned...i was busy with negosiations with the former owner...and the landlord as we wanted a 6 year contract as there was a lot to be done Down there...everything finally went well...and at the same day i returned... 10 builders started the Work of renovating the place.....combined with the fact that i on my short "Holiday" back home (4weeks) had almost 300 hours of planned/booked Work...maybe illustrate why iwe been absent for a while....

 

the Price of the hotel was fully financed by the profit from the restaurent, but we do have to put in a nice amount for the renovation, but iam/we are confident it will pay off soon.....FYI...we have 14 rooms...and its located in Jomtien...will post info when we are finished with the Work :-)

Hi Batters, I did actually have a look around Jomtien when I was about in April, thought I might find your place on the offchance and say "hi" but had no luck. I found one Soi in Jomtien that seemed very heavily Scandi-flavoured but I could not see any bar/restaurant with yourself of Mdme Whiskey about.
