So I've been interested in LB's for a while. Never really had the guts to admit it but I do now. I'm new to this site and I have to say, it's perfect for a newbie like me!

First thing I'd like to do is just introduce myself. I'm 20 (as mentioned above) I'm in very good shape, and I'm a salesman. Ive been bisexual for a long time but never explored my sexuality, only ever slept with girls.

If its your first trip to Thailand make a point of reading up on the various scams tourists encounter. Being aware of these will save you a great deal of grief (I failed to properly research this prior to my first trip and was so angered and frustrated but the constant scams that I seriously considered cutting my holiday short to escape them).

 

It sounds like you've done a bit of reading already on this site, continue to do so as there is a lot of very useful information regarding where to stay and what bars to visit etc.

 

I like Bangkok, there's plenty for the tourists to see. Many of Bangkoks attractions can be easily accessed from the river boat stations by foot and if you're staying closer to the Nan area, the skytrain runs straight to one of the riverboat stations. I prefer the skytrain as the price is fixed and you never have to negotiate with dishonest cab drivers.

 

Its been quite a few years since I've been to Bangers so I cant speak knowledgeably on the bar scene although there is plenty of information here you can research. There is interactive maps somewhere in the newbie section of the forum, I'm sure you can find it easily enough.

This is not specifically on Thailand but on dating ladyboys in general. It will probably help if you try and figure out what you want first. I have no personal knowledge on Thailand girls as I am a Filipina but just make sure this is something you really want. Yeah, don't get too bogged down in the detail, just be aware of the different areas and bars to meet the ladyboys and have an understanding/awareness of barfines, joiner fees (where aplicable), lady drinks and the usual things you would not normally be dealing with at home.

 

When you get to the bars it will be easy. The only reason I mentioned all the scams is because looking back on my first trip, that was the absolute number one negative aspect and it took a lot of the fun out of the trip, almost to the point where I regretted going (almost).These scammers are absolutely everywhere in Thailand and make a living out of the ignorance of first timers. I assure you that doing your research will save you a considerable amount of grief when you finally arrive in Thailand.

Please take my advice. If you are 20 and fit:  

 

Get line app on your phone. Register at thaifriendly. (Buy premium) and start chatting.

Its a small investment.

 

You will drown in pussy & tail with some chatting effort. (Of course free) During your whole trip. Thats what I do everytime.

 

Although, going into the go go  bar are also a bit fun sometimes.

being that young he will be a bit of a target for scams but those are easy to find out about. I'm wondering if he can hold his liquor.  A ladyboy bar might not be so great then. Maybe alternate with a Coke or something. But there's no substitute for the in your face thing

      I think early evening in a bar like Chaos down from Nana would be a good start. A few years back, I took my son and his buddy to Bangkok for their first ever trip. Both in their early 20's. My advice was precisely that: "just take the cash you think you'll need, and leave everything else in the safe". (I suggested $30 US....we were simply hanging out on Khao San Road. Cheap).

My son's friend, a Bona-Fide know-it-all, was convinced the hotel staff would steal his things in the safe.

Long story short, he woke up next morning, his first full morning in Thailand, on his back, laying on a city sidewalk, with the sun in his face, and curious Thais looking on at the young Falang just waking from his stupor.....minus, of course, his wallet, his passport, $700 US, his credit cards, and his iPhone.
