I have only myself to blame for that.

As it is said, "Thailand is a great place to make terrible decisions". I simply cannot act like a guy in his 20's when i am in reality a guy in his mid-50's. I am sure my diminished state would serve as a shining example of why one should "pace" himself. I didn't even try to make an effort at doing so....then i crashed. Feeling better now, just being home.

Whats the scene like Jimbo in the last couple of days? Everyone talks in their TR about the restaurant next boor which serves fabulous Thai food. What's it called?

 

 We've been lucky over the last few days, in having a good little gang of guys around who've made for a good atmosphere and a lot of fun.

 Typically, in Low Season, this could change quickly and i'll be Billy No Mates, propping up the bar almost on my own.

 

 There's no such thing as "fabulous Thai food", world tourist - its either bland and tasteless or its like putting a blowtorch in your mouth! I've eaten at No 1 next door when others have insisted, but i prefer a bit of french or continental cuisine.

Jimbo I agree you may prefer food from the continent. But I am a bit adventurous when it comes to food. All over the world I've realised that the best local cuisine is found where the natives eat and i try that. It may be just fried, roasted , Mashed,jacket or what ever other type of potatoes they serve in your good old country it tasted damn good when you eat it in a countryside pub. like wise Thai cuisine also has its local flavor which I like to experience.
