 After a pretty lean May, its great to see a steady stream of BMs this month. The bar was a good place to be last night, as the restrictions were lifted. A lot of fun with a birthday celebration, a couple of new arrivals, and a couple of departures.

 

 Just need to get the barfine rate up a bit, as the girls have been suffering, especially over the last six weeks. 

 

 I don't usually give much of a damn about bar fines, but the girls have been loyally turning up for work even when the customer attendance has been low, and the barfine mongers at just about the lowest level i've ever seen.

 

 I walked to the end of the soi, both sides, a couple of times last night, and although the restrictions have been lifted, the number of people out drinking was very very low. Many of the girlie bars were still empty, and the pleas for me to go in and have a drink had a tone of desperation, even more so than normal.

 

 I think its going to take a while for tourism to recover. Its Low Season now and hard to judge how this will all affect the next High Season. Just hope that by then things will have returned to "normal". In the meantime you guys making it out here are more welcome than ever!

Without promising too much & depending on the situation in the country at the time,Im planning on showing up during september.The "uncles" cleaning spree seems promising too & its something that I personally welcome very much . Time will tell.

iam looking forward to see how much they will charge for a taxi this time in the airport

not that it actually matters as i normally pays the same if iam allowed to have a beer and a ciggy on the way...then they get a 1000  but i would like if it was the driver...and not some mafia that got the money

 So far, the question of fares has not been addressed, although they promise to get to it at the end. First they have to smash the cartels and dismantle the system of extortion and pay-offs.

Everything as usual...

Arriving yesterday I recognized no differences. Still a lot of people trying to sell you the trip of you life. Though I doubt that they would dare now to stop at a shop or argue against the meter.

Although the police has closed several taxi booths I still see the taxi drivers at their usual places...

Monday Night

 

 Thanks for the pics, Bully. 

 I regret to say that i'm a curse on anything remotely technical, and i can't get any sense out of the point and shoot you left me. 

 Hence no pics - apologies.

 Just waiting for Batman to arrive with one of his cast-offs, then normal service can, hopefully, be resumed.

 

 Great to have Uncle and ratos in the bar last night. Thanks ratos for the tea. Thanks Uncle for buying newbie Lung an opening lady drink.

 

 Some staff comings and goings:

 

 Newbie Jessie didn't get a barfine in her first week and has defected to My Way in Soi Paradise.

 

 Som & Rihanna are hanging in there, but desperately need a barfine.

 

 Thanks to the guys who bought Lung some lady drinks last night. Lord only knows why nobody bar fined her. She's bloody gorgeous! If i didn't have a house full already, she'd have been whisked off to The Skylab in a heartbeat!

 

 Welcome back Yoyo and Cham.

 

 Nadia is still away with a long term barfine with somebody who doesn't come to the bar. Pisses me off, that does.

 

 Kitty is still in Germany.

 

 Ex-employee Ae visited, with an equally gorgeous friend.

 

 

 

 Ice Bar in the middle of our soi was all closed up for the last couple of nights. Looks like they've given up the fight to stay afloat.
