The bulletin boards like Metro 21 are a great source of fun, a bit xenophobic, though you are more likely to find TVs as opposed to NHs, but still, as most Japanese are not so hairy, the difference is slight. You just share a hotel, and fuck for free! Rendezvous in local parks have not worked out so well, and I'm not into meeting in toilets in train stations or department stores! There are a few Brazilian-Japanese there too, they tend to only write in katakana, but are great looking. Some of the girls have strange tastes in clothing, a red skirt and green stockings was a bit of a turn off!
Actress/ Guppy bar in Shinjuku-2-chome used to be a great place, a great looking girl called Emu was a regular there; she wrote a blog in Japanese AND English on her activities for many years. I think she was having guys 4~5 nights a week for at least 6 years. I even recognised myself in one of her entries! She got sick though, and left the scene. She had been into the BDSM scene in her early years, getting whipped or caned 500 times in a day, took a few weeks for her ass to recover! Great body though!
Some of the cheaper hostess bars/ clubs in Osaka around Souemoncho/ Shinsaibashisuji have a resident Filipino 'bakla' amongst them, though the other girls look at you strangely when you express an interest in them! I also speak a little Tagalog, and can sing some of their more famous Filipino songs, so that is handy for getting to know them!
Hinodecho in Yokohama used to be a great pick-up spot, esp. for the 2nd generation Brazilians, on the road and down by the river, but the local mayor had a clean up campaign. There were also a couple of local cinemas (eiga-kan) that were used as meeting places, one porno place there (光音座) [/size]and another at the Yokohama station Nishi-guchi, but the local station development scheme has put a stop to that one. They are not so classy - blow job or a hand job from a TV or CD in the dark or in the toilets - real rough trade!
All for now, have to get back to work!

When you say TVs, I think you mean cross dressers? There is a whole range of CDs from super hot to the comically tragic and keeping up with the
Japanese slang for each type of cross dresser is a real challenge. I think New Type is the current term for pretty or passable crosser dresser and Okama is used for the comedic or middle aged cross dresser. I always avoided using the word Okama as I didn't fully understand it's meaning in common usage. It seemed to have different connotations than what was in the dictionary, and some of them seemed derogatory. Can you shed any light on this?
I never thought to use the internet for hook ups or casual encounters in my adventures with NHs and NTs.
I was lucky to get introduced into the scene by a Phillipino NH who was my first sexual experience with a transgender. I met her at one of those fun mixed karaoke pubs and she introduced me to so many people.
I made friends with a few
Japanese guys that were an eclectic group, ranging from gay to bisexuals to strictly tranny chasers.
I can say that partying with such a diverse group can put you in some awkward spots sometimes. Once while partying after the bar closed with a mixed group of gay guys, Bisexuals, NHs and GGs they started playing this
Japanese drinking game.
One of those word games where you chanted the names of random topics; if someone started with a city name, you had to come up with a new city name and if you messed up you had to take a shot of whiskey. Well, it progressed to the loser having to put a blindfold on and guessing whose cock they were sucking, and then taking a shot of whiskey.
Fortunately, I had the common sense to cheat when the blindfold went on my head and I ran from the table before one of the gay guys put his cock in my mouth. I can't remember laughing so hard as I did that night.
I have never shared that story before and only bring it up here to illustrate an aspect of the NH scene in
Japan for any readers who might be newbie expats.
If you are lucky enough to establish
Japanese friends in the NH scene, it will likely take you into the gay scene at times. That sounds both obvious and confusing, but the point is, a person should be willing to mingle with the gay crowd in
Japan.
When I first started out, I had no trouble with NHs but was a bit uncomfortable showing up at gay bars or gay events. After I relaxed a bit, I met a lot of cool people and made a few good friends.
I would love to hear your views and comments on this aspect of the scene in
Japan.
