Saturday Night

 

 I have mixed feelings about the "Old" Tiger complex reopening. On the one hand it'll improve the footfall in our soi, thereby increasing our customer inflow. On the other hand, its not properly finished with piles of sand and stuff still lying around, unfinished surfaces, and shoddy workmanship (well it is Thailand i suppose ).

 And, wanting to create an impression, the sound system was cranked up to the point where my internal organs were bouncing around. And thats while i'm sat in C & Ds !

Once they've paid for the sound system the volume is then free so why waste it by leaving it on a lower level. Thais might just as well have an on/off switch instead of a volume knob on their sound equipment.

 

At least the Thais can smile, just as well because they can't hear a word you're saying, they're stone deaf!

I was in bar the other day which just let punters use YouTube on PC to supply the music, when I put the song on I thought "oooh that's a bit loud" and moved the volume slider down a bit. No sooner had I sat down the Thai barman came along and whacked it up!

Monday 16th December

 

 Well, here we go - the busiest 4 weeks of the year coming up.

 

 God help my liver!
 Gave it a rest yesterday, with not a drop passing my lips. Went to see The Hobbit in 3D at Central Festival instead.

 

 Batman arrived this afternoon   with the Batmobile weighed down with goodies from Denmark. Incredibly generous as always.

 Thanks Batters, i've just made a start on the smoked salmon (top notch), and we'll open the champers on the 26th.

Well... iam still alive...   despite all the girls effort to kill me by kissing....must be very hansume...or was it the 50 ladydrinks on my bin??

not much sleep on the plane but a good trip anyhow...went through immigration and got my suitcase in less than 10 min
