Those who remember my previous posts about how I am still traumatised after what happened to me in Patpong (hustled to buy 10 lady drinks!).. I fear 'bars'. All my girl and ladyboy fix have been via soapies, specialty clubs (for girls) and escorts (LB).
You see.. I can't stay like this forever. Paying stupid money (6000 baht!) for a shortime where I could enjoy 2 LTS with that amount of money with much more fun and beautiful LBs..
I will give Go Go Bars another chance in my next trip (10 more days baby!!! oooh yeaaaah!!).. I have read from this thread and other websites all the guides, advices, dos-and-donts articles for every first timers and novices I could fine...
But I can't find useful guide on how to go to bars like Guess Bar.. I have read a lot of good reviews about this bar. I want to try it this time. I went through past it everytime I go to Bangkok but never had the courage to go inside (especially after the patpong incident)..
Can anyone direct me to an article or a website that shows how to deal with LBs in guess bar.. or even give me some advice what I should do and should not do, cost I should expect etc etc.. thanks.

my advice would be to place an advert in the classifieds and meet up with another board member.

Guess bar would be good for a first timer or someone still just abit green to the scene.
Don't go buying lady drinks randomly. Only buy them when you have made up your mind on who you want to barfine, and use buying them a lady drink to signal your intention to barfine them.
Over the drink you can discuss a fee for their services. My advice would be 2000 LT and 1000 ST, but in the likes of Guess bar and other Bangkok bars don't be surprised to pay 2500 LT or 1500 ST.
Anthony has given you very sound advice. Try to meet up with other members of this site to go to the bars with and it will be a whole lot less daunting.

This lad surprised that I wasn't caucasian.. we meet in the bar attached to Nana Hotel. He said he thought i was a fellow 'farang' and he thinks it is weird for him to be my 'wingman' and say that he will not be doing what he agreed on doing.
Now.. I am from Brunei. I am Malay.. I look like Malaysian, almost like Thai as well... Is it really an issue?? Just wondering.

It really shouldn't be an issue, I'm Canadian born Chinese, but I do let people I am meeting up with for the first time know so they don't get surprised.
As for negotiating with the ladies - it doesn't matter where you're from as long as you treat them ok, and come to an agreement on a price beforehand the barfine.

this sweet young burmeese girland her even younger thai friend wanted me to take them to patpong, bascially thai lingo got me out of paying for a useless pussy show that was boring anways after i was told that it was free, well i paid for the beers n left, patpong sounds like lice in thai and feels like that when there, whore lice. however i like the adivce of on getting a wingman, craigslist will also work, ive got numbers from craigs, from cam models, actually one off here who was pretty dam fine, craigslist seems to work and guess girls post there as well, i just saw one weeks back, i actually as ive said many times prefer girls n have taken only chicas 99.7 percent of time on my hugwalksacres actually turning down free lb tail n even offers of loot, my advice is that life is short, smack your nuts in the mirror if u have to to get the valour your sextoursist boy fucker balls need and walk in a katoey bar have a couple wait on you and then pick one and make it shriek.

Thank you guys for the replies. I noticed that you guys say guess bar is a good early step. Is it calmer there compared to Temptations and Cascade (the only two LB bars I ever went after coming to BKK seceral times for the last 2 years.. Unfortunately)..?
By the way, I don't drink alcohol, i normally order diet coke, will that be ok? I mean, would that indicate something to the LBs such as "guys who order come is an easy target" or "boring guy and cheap.."... I had no problem with it so far though in soapies, eden clubs, temptations and cascades though... Thanks again guys...
p/s : i am also considering to go Pattaya as well... Maybe a night or two.

Not a problem at all. Perhaps taken as a sign you want to keep yourself 'on alert' for LB action, not just a night's alcohol intake. Good idea for me .... a bit less drinking!! But doubt i will control my other bar activities

hahah refering to your post about being ditched by your farang wingman. Its probably because of insecurity. A farang and a brown asian guy hanging out together, especially if the farang is older then you. It lends itself to certain assumptions.
I know the feeling Im chinese-canadian myself and whenever I hung out with my farang mate in BKK everyone assumed we were a couple.
As to the bars, give Obsessions a try. I like how the girls dont all try and sit next to you. They stand within sight and try to attract your attention. Get the one you like and the others will leave.
