I stayed in the Penthouse Hotel many times and really cannot complain about it. I´m sure it also depends what kind of rooms you are staying but anyway the location is perfect and the stuff always friendly and helpful. Booked my next stay already.

For every bullshit spam post by a new member clearly associated with Penthouse we should post a "real" trip advisor review. Half of them are clearly written by those idiots posting here. A huge number of the reviews in the early tripadvisor days are bad and then suddenly loads of excellent reviews with descriptions included that a real reviewer would never used. As a member of trip advisor I am going to report them

This was my second visit. I made a mistake of signing for food bill AND paying with cash at the same time. To cut it short the sloppy manager brushed it under the carpet as he claimed i owe the money and the till didn't add up. i got the impression this had happened before but he didn't admit it. The bill was 600bht and i stayed there for about 25 days and always paid cash so i though it was beyond stupidity oaf him not taking it seriously. This means it happens again and again. I showed integrity and honour by paying it but they showed squat! They are all thieves for all i know. I won't be returning at all based on that nor will i recommend it. Please post if you had similar experiance.

As for the sloppy manager....you're suppose to make money not loose it as i won't be coming back!!!

Run down hotel with run down rooms, facilities and service in all manner, if you are in Pattaya for exotic holidays please don't stay in this hotel. I had stayed in this hotel during December 19 to December 21, 2011 (room # 414) although I want to stay more than a week in Pattaya as I loved the place very much but , my experience start with a cold welcome at reception as the lady at reception was very rude, rough and cold unlike in Thailand, the room I wanted was not available so I stayed in a room of hotel's choice, no cleanliness in the room, broken tiles smelly bathroom the only good things about hotel in the rain shower and hot water.
Continuous construction and renovation work downstairs which also cause problem and hindrance very close to gay area.

I think this is a marmite hotel. You love it or hate it. We thought it might be fun in a vegas camp sort of way but the place is just too rough around the edges for a couple to really enjoy.

We saw no cockroaches or nasties but there was a layer of dust around the ground floor due to the extensive renovations going on. One particular chair on the ground floor looked like it had at least a weeks worth of dust on it.

The room was tired (suite) and dated. We got no hot water for the shower or whirlpool. Tiles on the dancing podium were broken. I also couldnt turn off the porn in the bathroom of the flashing disco lights in the bedroom so it felt like I had actually fallen asleep in a gogo bar. it did have a brand new 3d TV and glasses though. Pity the free porn was only 2D!

Service was Ok but I really hated the fact that once the 12pm check out had past reception rang three times and just hung up when we picked up. Ok so we were a little late but just hanging up???

hotel was great in the photos, but once i turned up, cockroach in the bed when i rolled the sheets back,room had a smell that i couldnt work out until i relised the cats in the hallway of the hotel then relised it was cat urine... couldnt sleep as there were bars down stairs that didnt close until 3am, staff were rude as the looked the other way when you walked in, shower didnt have hot water that worked, breakfast was really basic, one coffee two bits of toast with eggs and one piece of bacon. lots of other hotels to stay in pattaya for far better value!!! NEVER NEVER EVER AGAIN would i stay here !!!
