Hi insiders,
as i'm from Poland, i wanna watch the heavyweight World Championship fight between Klichko and Adamek, on Saturday night, September 10th. The fight starts around 11 pm CET, so i guess it will be 4 am in LOS. As i will arrive that day in Bangkok i will not have time for doing a research. Can smb help me?

Here's a thread about sports bars in Bangkok - a few years old, so I'm not sure how many of these bars are still open.

Stumble Inn right next to Bigdogs on the corner of Nana Plaza should have it or just down towards the Dynasty Inn on Soi 4 Strikers.....

These are the two newest or recently re developed Bars with Sports Coverage on all the time......

All the way up Soi 4 the bars advertise out the front whats on the tube every day......

There are quite a few sports-style bars around, but I doubt any would be open at 4am in the morning.

You own hotel room might be the last option if you're keen on watching the boxing, many have ESPN and Star Sports channels.

I checked, but sadly did not see the boxing listed:

Sorry se7en, but each time i tried to post, i just received the message "bad gateway" so i thought it didn't get through.

i know that one of the digital Sky Channel will broadcast the fight - if this might be a hint.

dixon - 4 am closed? i thought this city never sleeps (or was it NYC... lol), especially as it's Saturday night

You will struggle to find somewhere with it and I doubt any Asian suppliers will be carrying it. They used to have some copy feeds coming in from South Africa but they all got canned when the world cup was on. So unless its been broadcast in Asia, the European signals don't reach around the earth.

There are virtually zero bars open and showing sport in Bangkok at that time - however you might want to try the Soi 8 pub in Sukhumvit Soi 8 - odds are they won't be serving alcohol but they maybe open showing it. Unfortunately in Bangkok all venues are being forced to close at 2am while they find some apparently illegal casinos operating in the capital that everyone but the police seem to be able to find. Hence the police chief has just lost his job. It may have blown over by then but don't hold your breath.

Never been but I had this place recommended to me by a friend a few months ago. Might be worth a look, especially at those prices.

You might want to check Witherspoon's on Soi Buakaow. They show tons of various sporting events - Soccer, Rugby, Aussie Rules and I've seen a fight or two advertised - near Soi Diana, I think. Try this link: http://witherspoonsbar.150m.com/
Old, cantankerous, and sorry if I piss you off - well, not really. Just enjoy!
