well, looking at my next trip,and so far my plan is to take 3 1/2 -4 weeks from around 8 november..... will start out in Phuket around 2/3 of the trip...followed by at least a week in Patts...

so is anybody planning around those dates??

yes- i got my ticket already! fly out on dec 8 and return dec 31. treated myself to first class tickets this time on Cathay. can't wait

I think I will avoid Patts this go-around.

I'll plan on arriving BKK on or about Nov 10.....a couple of days to shake the jetlag, and then head down to Phuket. I'll plan on arriving Phuket on or around Nov 13.

....a few nights on Patong, then probably a few nights in Kata, Karon.....or Surin (with ladyboy company, hopefully, in those quieter spots).

I'm very much looking forward to seeing you, Oh, and Jimbo again Batman!

He's made the big move, Batters. Now has a nice apartment on Nanai. I think a motorbike is in the offing, to make the journeys easier, shortly.

Jim could not say it better, going to states for my retirement visa in early july and back by end of july. Yes and a scooter is in the plans. Nanai is nice and quiet 15k baht/mon and a pool too. Bangla every night is a chore when staying here. Will see you guys when you get here just post the exact dates and will meet and greet. Till then
