This year's Miss International Queen contest will be held Friday, Nov 19 at Tiffany Theatre in Pattaya. From Nov 15-18, there will be various promotional activities that will be free to the public. Last year the talent competition was held at Central Festival Mall.

I went in 2006.....what a boring evening spoilt by the television production of the event with commercial breaks at least every 15 minutes. It lasted about 4 hours + if memory serves :sleep:

Like all Thai shows and series on TV; 5% show 95% shit. But on the bright side.. GGs in commercials are yummy :blush:

, not like our dipper/tampon commercial babes we look in farangland every day.

News conference for MIQ 2010. Interviews with MIQ 2009 Haruna Ai - who is around 32, and Miss Tiffany Universe 2010 Nong Mick who is representing Thailand for this years contest.

Ok, there is a Miss Ripley's Popular Internet vote for MIQ 2010. There are 22 registered candidates this year including a couple from :cnd:

! So far Belgium is leading for this, but I think the site hasn't been up long. I expect the Filipinas to catch up soon.

As mentioned the final will be on Friday, Nov 19 at Tiffany Theatre.

The talent contest final will be held in the convention centre at Centara Grand (the new Central World hotel) on Wed Nov 17 at 7:00 pm. Unfortunately this change of locale means this is changed to a pay event, 1500 Baht for a ticket.

I was surprised that Thailand did not place in the top 3, but my panel of 3 lbs stated that Nong Mick, MTU 2010 was "not confident" and perhaps overdosed on hormones making her less "sharp" so she couldn't make it into the top 3. I was surprised, but it was clear Miss Korea was very confident at all stages of the finals.

Im actually glad Nong Mick did not win. Listening to her interview after she won the Thai crown, she sounded totally like an arrogant spoiled rich girl.
How did Miss Canuck do? Have to say I never saw any like her back home and I lived on Wellesley near Church.

Front242, do you understand Thai? I did not see Nong Mick's post MTU 2010 winner interview. One of the Canadian reps - the blonde one made it to the final 10, an impressive result for her first time in. She was one of the favorites of my 3 lb panel.
